We had a WONDERFUL 5-night getaway at the charming Grand View Resort with a location second to none. Liked · Our room was exceptionally clean. The innkeepers, Kirk and Clover, treated us as though we were family. They operate with a very small staff and yet the rooms are cleaned more thoroughly than those at any hotel/motel or 4 star resort we've ever stayed at. The grounds are kept in pristine condition so that the guests can enjoy them and the spectacular views of the lake and mountains. Most of the rooms are pet friendly and the owner's own dogs, Max and Lily freely room the grounds. Max became a regular visitor when we sat outside our room. Guest are encouraged to make the 3-minute walk to the Kellerhaus next door for delicious ice cream, home-made chocolates and a variety of gifts. The resort is in the heart of the Lakes Region with lots to do and a plethora of waterfront restaurants within a few minutes drive. We had read reviews of the resort prior to arriving, but the Grand View far exceeded our expectations. During our 5-night stay, we thoroughly enjoyed all of our interactions with Kirk an Clover, whether we were sitting on the beautiful wrap-around porch of the main house or sitting on the deck watching the Thursday night football game on their big screen TV. Kirk and Clover are kind, humanitarians, and it was our pleasure to get to know them a bit during our stay. We are already making plans to return next summer with our son, his wife, our grandchildren and their dog. Thank you, Clover and Kirk for a wonderful week! Jim and Mary Perry...

We booked a last minute getaway for 3 nights in an adorable and immaculate cabin overlooking Weirs Beach on Lake Winnipesaukee. The owners, Clover and Kurt have done a marvelous job renovating this hidden treasure. We relaxed in their heated saltwater swimming pool that has vistas of the lake. Lots of new lounge chairs and plenty of umbrellas. Pool towels are in a big bin in the pool area.|There is a "secret-private path" to the popular ice cream store just though the woods. Yum|Gas grills are available and picnic tables on the grounds.|The bathrooms are newly remodeled and generous size. They provide a coffee pot and decaf and regular coffee. We opted to bring our keurig because we drink a lot of coffee... I even brought my own special mug and I thoroughly Cherished the quiet mornings on the front porch watching the glistening sun over the lake.|We found lots to do in the area. One night we had turkey dinners at Hart's. Our take home portions gave us a tasty turkey and stuffing lunch the next day.|One day we went tubing on the Saco River in Conway. The ride was less than an hour and a beautiful scenic drive. Yesterday it rained so we went to Meredith to a movie followed by window shopping and AMAZING dinner at Lago on the lake.||Our cabin had 2 Queen beds. ||Hope to return next summer. This was a perfect vintage...

The location is top notch and the room was clean. For the most part, we liked it. The issues we had were with the staff. Ourselves along with our guests, who we booked a separate cottage for, were given the bum's rush at 9:50 AM as we we getting our things together. This did not appears to be random, as the staff were walking around to every cottage it seemed and asking people if they were checking out. The Expedia site for this business indicates an 11:00 AM checkout time. I was approached while in my car on a conference call and asked if I was ready to check out 9:50 AM. Our guests were also asked if they were going to check out before checkout time. The other issue was with the pool. It appears that the business uses seasonal help to clean and maintain the property. On two occasions, it was evident that some of the workers were using the pool and playing loud rap music on a bluetooth speaker they had set up. The pool area is not that big, so the patrons at the pool trying to relax were subject to the loud music. Our party were not the only ones impacted by this. I would probably had given the property 3.5 stars if it...

I was looking for the Grandview Resort in Ontario and this property came up in my Google search and we liked it immediately. The view from unit 12 is to die for. We are big swimmers so was in the heated great size pool every day. Weir Beach is walkable and we did so once. But driving there is snap and paid parking is plentiful. Great thing about about the unit is a full kitchen so we cooked most of our meals and had an ice cream treat at Kellerhaus. There is a path there from the site. We shopped at Walmart, Shaws and Hannafords. Bought great steak at the Whining Butcher nearby in Meredith . Did a day trip to the excellent Hampton Beach and a second one to the famous Bretton Woods Mount Washington Resort and the Cog Railway that climbs the 6,000 foot Mount Washington. New Hampshire is a gem. Clean and safe and no sales tax on purchases. Highly recommended and Kirk and Clover run it well with military like efficiency and precision and are super friendly. The staff are great too.

We stayed in cabin 1, just my wife and I and our pup. Was perfect in terms of privacy and quietness while still being close to a lot of great spots in the area. Just an immaculate view and a property that is clearly very well taken care of, pictures don’t do it justice. The owners were very accommodating getting us into the room we wanted after a technical issue with the external booking site I used. Pros for the cottage: -very dog friendly -private parking spot -private large trash bin -patio with a view -heated saltwater pool, very clean! -comfy king bed -very clean room -best price around for all that from my searching -walking distance to an awesome brewery and super old candy/gift store -short diving distance to all the major spots Minor con: -the cottages are pretty close to a busy road, and in the mornings there’s a decent amount of motorcycle noise passing by but that’s about it We look forward to visiting again!
