My girlfriend and I walked from the beach to here after a nice day, but the service was anything but. It's first come first serve and a seat yourself but the layout makes little sense. We stood there and waited for the 2 spots at the bar to be cleared away so we could sit and the second it was, 2 randoms pushed right past and took the seats. Nothing was said by the bartender and we didn't want to start anything so we walked away and came back where there was now.... a line? Maybe... was very confusing once again. We went 2 other places and they both just said that's the general consensus. If the staff wasn't so busy with their two tables each they would see all the people leaving and missed opportunities. Not how you run a place if you want it to stay around. Also for a small area, you don't need the speakers on the live music that high. Leaving at 2 stars until we return next week to try the food. Every place deserves a second chance. Hopefully this time a little...
Read moreWe went yesterday and the food and drinks are a bit pricey but what isn’t these days. For my personal perspective I am not the hugest fan of the menu items currently, but I as the space cotinues to evolve I expect to find some favorite items.
Response to Juan: I treat reviews are as a way to give honest feedback on the restaurant and inform fellow consumers. I find many review are overly negative due to a bad experience with a server or a messed up order. This is not the case for me. I do love the space and I like going there. But I also try not give out participation trophies or everyone would be 5 stars. That being said I may have reacted strongly and always appreciate hearing from businesses. I have adjusted my review to focus on the things I enjoy about Salid. I know I will be back and I agree that this is an incredibly rehabbed space and is the best place to share time with friends...
Read moreThere was a 30 min wait but we were seated in about 20min, so had time to look around some shops. The food did not disappoint! We ordered all four tacos, our favorites were the carnitas and cauliflower, so much flavor! The shrimp and steak tacos were good as well, big little shrimps cooked well and the steak was tender and not dry. We also had the lobster nacho special with blue corn tortilla chips. You know how some chips are left with no toppings on a nacho plate? Well these were FULLY LOADED! And even though they had sat on the table for a while the blue corn tortillas had not gotten soggy, they were a little wet but still had a crunch.
