Do not buy a gift certificate from this place unless you know the “unwritten” rules! They don’t allow the use of more than one certificate at a time. So we had $200 in two gift certificates and had family, visiting, decided to go to this place, the bill was $200 plus and they would not honor more than one $100 certificate. Today, we went with another $100 gift certificate and our bill was $88. I left the certificate and $5.00 and the bartender chased us to our car to let us know the owners would not give him the money left over. There are no rules listed on these certificates. They don’t honor them fairly, put your ridiculous rules on them so customers are aware. The bartender was screwed but not by us, by his employer, he can get the $12 from them! We had the wonderful pleasure of spending part of the afternoon at the Beer exchange - the witches brew Pub in Laconia! What a treat! Five stars for so many reasons. The place itself has a charming welcoming feel to it inside and the outside seating allows you to safely sit in the sun and enjoy the huge selection of beer while enjoying the view and outdoors. The owners Keith and Monique are so welcoming and so present. They would come around to the guests and ask how things were, if we had questions and even shared the story of how their dream is becoming a reality at the Beer Xchange! It felt really good to support them as they are local residents who have poured their heart and soul into this place. And you can tell. Both the beer and food was DELICIOUS! I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Came here with my family of 6 on Friday at 1pm, we were greeted by the rudest nastiest women. We asked if they had space for 6 she told us "absolutely not we are not a big place we cannot accommodate that right now" we asked if we could wait until something became available she told us no and said it "would be awhile" and "we already sat the whole place". She told us to leave told us we couldn't wait for a table and we also couldn't even wait at the bar. she was so off putting and nasty. I am ashamed because I was looking forward to coming here but now I will never come here and will not recommend to anyone. Terrible place with terrible service.
