Our family was really excited to stay here and at first it seemed like it would be a positive experience. Even though the silo was still closed despite their signage stating all year they would be open in the fall. We liked the room at first we had 205 in the newly renovated wing. Looked nice was clean but in the middle of the night a consistent water drop noise began from the ac unit above ours. It was so continuous it drove us insane. We did everything we could to drown it out but it was loud and maddening. We got no sleep and it kind of ruined our whole mood for the vacation. Driving a long way to pay over 200 for a single night of no sleep.
After speaking to the front desk she assured us she would speak to maintenance then continued to stress her ac does the same at her house. Excuse me, this isnât your house I have no control over the situation and we paid a lot to get no sleep then get dismissed with poor customer service. I also stated to them the chips in the shop are expired by over a month and was assured it would be changed. A day later and they are still there. So no customer service was poor, beyond poor.
I had a great experience with housekeeping. They not only keep your rooms exceptionally clean but when I was lost she took the time to literally walk me to my room with a smile the whole way. If only she was the front desk my stay would have been...
Read moreHotel is coming along, but it is still under construction as of early August 2025. There is still a bit of noise from the construction which is unfortunate and should be disclosed on the Wisconsin Hotel website. Once the construction completes, it should be a pretty nice place to stay. I had some issues with noise which the front desk and hotel manager were able to resolve. Thank you for this and your patience with my persistence.
A couple of concerns with rooms. First being the temperature control is motion sensitive which means when I was sleeping at night the lack of movement would reset temperature setting from 67 to a balmy 74 degrees. The changing temperatures woke me up a few times during the night. If there was a way to turn motion sensor off at night, like 10PM to 6AM, that would be very helpful. The A/C unit also tends to run on the loud side. Secondly, the hot water takes a bit to fully come to temperature and never quite gets hot.
As with any new hotel, the room and common areas are very clean and lovely. Would enjoy spending some time around the lobby fireplace on a colder night. I enjoyed having outdoor space in the form of private balcony.
Good luck on...
Read morePlace was really tastefully decorated. Feels like a trendy downtown Milwaukee hotel at a fraction of what youâd pay in the city hotels. The rooms were extremely clean and all the staff we encountered were really pleasant. There are some cons. They installed the TVs flush into a wooden frame on the wall so if you brought a gaming console to stream entertainment apps like I did youâll have one heck of a time trying to get access to the HDMI ports. Itâs doable but it is TIGHT and if youâve got bigger hands, good luck. The tv was pretty big however compared to other hotels which was a nice surprise. The air conditioner is pretty loud and kept falling behind the temperature we had it set to so it got a little toasty at times in the night. Lastly, the bathroom doors arenât my favorite. Itâs a sliding barn door style frame, which for space sake I understand, but itâs got huge creases and gaps so you hear EVERYTHING going on in the bathroom. Not very romantic. Theyâre new so Iâm sure theyâre working out the kinks but overall Iâd come back and recommend...
