A Disappointing End to Years of Loyalty: I'm absolutely fuming. For years, my wife and I have been loyal customers, practically since the doors opened. We've happily spent thousands of dollars at this place, not just because we liked the products, but because the staff, at least in the beginning, was fantastic. They were friendly, helpful, and genuinely a pleasure to interact with. But lately, something has shifted drastically. The once-great atmosphere has been replaced by a baffling inconsistency. It's a flip-flop of attitudes one day they're engaging and helpful, the next they're stone-faced and silent. It's like walking into a different store every time, never knowing what kind of reception we're going to get.
An Unbelievable Overreaction: This last visit, though, was the final straw. My wife, in her usual kind way, simply told two employees, "You're looking good." What followed was an absolutely unhinged reaction. They flipped out, demanding, "Why would you say that?!" I was utterly dumbfounded. "Looking good" is a compliment! It's a common, harmless phrase! I usually try to stay out of my wife's conversations, but this was too bizarre to ignore. I had to step in, asking, "Telling you you look good is bad?" I was, and still am, completely and wholly lost as to why this simple, positive comment triggered such an aggressive response.
Lost Customers, Solved Easily: The sheer absurdity of losing genuine, steady, and loyal customers over such a trivial and easily resolvable issue is infuriating. If they had an issue with the compliment, a simple, mature statement like, "Listen, I don't like those type of compliments, so I would appreciate it if you didn't do so when you came in," would have been all it took. Issue over. We would have understood, respected their boundary, and continued to frequent their establishment, spending the money we always have. Instead, their own inexplicable insecurities have cost them not just our business, but the thousands of dollars we've consistently spent there. It's a truly disheartening end to a long-standing customer relationship, all because of an incredibly overblown and unprofessional reaction. It's a sad and infuriating waste.
Update: yeah because telling someone they look good is commenting their weight. It's not our fault you hired insecure employees. But looking at your responses on...
Read morethis place is a joke. i was on my way home and stopped for my boyfriend they didnt have the kind of vape he wanted so i told him while on the phone that they didnt have the flavor he wanted and gave him other options. the child behind the counter said i couldnt tell him what other flavors they had. they wonder why their sales are decreasing…. people dont always have time to go over there and now im not planning on going back. these people behind the counter couldn’t even drink a beer let alone tell someone they cant talk on the phone. makes it suspicious about what they do there. also next time someone wants to say you cant have your phone out they should put up a sign. they have 40+ for other policies that they make up on their own. im surprised this place hasnt closed since none of the workers actually care about the customers and just make the sale and push them out of the door.
i hope the owners are looking at why the sales are going down. its because of the ignorance behind the counter. i can tell you for a fact im not going back in for anything of mine and if im with anyone and they want to stop and i see the girl i had to deal with today we will absolutely turn around and go somewhere else. id rather drive to madison than deal with her. she had glasses and black curly hair.
way to push away regular customers by being rude and...
Read more2 stars is for the selection. Came in before closing and I APOLOGIZED about that first. The girl at the counter was extremely rude about closing in under 5 mins. Like, dude, chill, a few more mins. is not going to ruin your night! I was appalled by the audacity, especially being a customer service setting. You don't treat customers like that. We keep the business open, and the owner shouldn't condone it. I'm a local by the way, so it's not like I'm just passing through. I'll be spending my money elsewhere.
EDIT: That's funny, did you happen to see a black man one of those nights? That was my husband, I was watching the whole interaction from our car. He came back with nothing and told me everything. They know who he is, why not ask your employees? Have a conversation with them about customer service etiquette. There were 2 men and 1 woman at the time he walked in. Although it doesn't really matter because we won't be...
