Cutting it down to the wire on Valentine’s Day plans? No worries! Red Salmon in Lancaster will make the night unforgettable! #antelopevalley #lancaster #sushi #valentinesday #dinnerideas

More than 5 years ago, work colleagues had brought me here to celebrate a special day. She recommended me to order the grilled salmon collar bone. To my surprise, it was fresh, tasty and delicious! Who would have thought that a restaurant would serve a fish with bones in it. Aside from miso soup, shrimp tempura, salmon sashimi that has proved equally satisfying, the grilled collar bone salmon was cooked perfectly, not dry nor salty and it was really delicious! Something that I wouldn’t forget. And so every time I’d visit my friends in Lancaster, going to Red Salmon is a must for us. Mind you, up to this day, they still serve our favorite, the collarbone salmon and the quality and taste has never failed to please our palate. Delicious! Highly recommended. ♦️♦️♦️♦️♦️

The fish is not fresh at all (you may get better quality from Big Tuna lol). Tuna sushi and lemon roll are all poorly made Takoyaki is pretty oily. Chicken udon is pretty nice, both the soup and udon noodle are good for the price but I probably won't order it again because the quality of the chicken is low. Plum sake is surprisingly good, though. A very busy and noisy place. Servers are polite but very busy. We basically served ourselves everything, such as getting sauce plates, chopsticks, and napkins. The price we paid does not match the quality we get.

My wife and I and her mother decided to stop by for a late lunch. We had very moderate expectations and honestly based on my other reviews we are very friendly towards businesses and tolerant of basic mistakes. However Red Salmon completely jumped the shark in every way possible to make our experience the worst in memory. We entered the restaurant and were given a very lukewarm welcome by the male server. We were seated and again expressed rather low expectations to merely have a few appetizers and drinks. The cleanliness of the establishment was subpar at best including a wet table a torn seat cushion sticky floor and moderately dirty bathroom. Our drinks came out quickly however the server vanished for a half an hour before taking our appetizer order. Meanwhile two other tables were sat and served before we received appetizers. Further when we did receive the apinclinationinly two of the three appeared. The calamari was nowhere to be found. We looked for our server only to find him eating at the counter. He gave us no indication that he was turning our table to another server. After 15 to 20 minutes we asked the second server where the calamari was. She brought it and it had obviously been sitting in the pass for the past 20 minutes and was now cold and chewy. Meanwhile my mother-in-law's tea was cold and no one had come to refresh it. The backup server offered to clear the table and in the process dropped all the dishes shattering them violently and propelling glass into my mother-in-law's leg and ruining my pants, shoes and socks. At no time were we offered any compensation for our meal. We left the restaurant and even tipped the waitress assuming that she would be tipped out despite the previous male server's abysmal service. However when my wife found out that my mother-in-law had sustained a bloody injury from the restaurant she went back to the restaurant to inform management. However no management was present, only someone who said that she was standing in for management during day shift. This person had no empowerment to make right our complaints whatsoever. She did take my wife's name and number however management never called her. I would steer clear from this place. It is absolutely on the verge of closure due to safety and cleaning violations. An additional piece of information is that after the server shattered the glass and soy sauce and tea all over the floor they cleaned up the glass with a broom but left wet sticky liquid all over the floor for the duration of the visit which was at least 30 more minutes which is a clear falling hazard to all customers in the restaurant. Stay far far away from this place. Again they are one massive lawsuit away from closure and bankruptcy. As a final note the restaurant was at less than half capacity so there is no excuse that they were too busy to provide good service. Furthermore there was no follow-up to a reported injury sustained at the establishment which is completely inexcusable and probably could be reported to legal authorities if we had the inclination. Update: Management did contact us the following day and offer a full refund. We declined and stated that we hoped that they could get their act together a bit better during shift change. I doubt if we will give them a second chance the next time we are in town. Your...

I was there last night with my 6yr old and honestly everything started out great and we enjoyed the food as usual. However last night was by far my worst experience ever and embarrassing for my 6yr old. Towards the end of our meal she had to use the restroom so we got up to go and left our table not at all thinking that leaving our table behind would mean we left. ESPECIALLY when I told the waitress we were going to get ice cream after we ate. Well, there was a wait for the bathroom and when kids gotta go, they gotta go. I ended up taking her into the other restroom as we had already been waiting 10 mins for the other restroom. Some time had passed and we come out and pass our table and it’s completely cleared, i hadn’t even paid yet and everything was gone. We didn’t even finish our food and was planning on taking it home, i couldn’t do it before because there was no time to wait and you can’t force a child to use the restroom faster. My little one embarrassed she couldn’t hold it and had to use the other restroom she just wanted to leave after seeing our table was gone. I walked up to the front to pay and the host all just stared at me cause they assumed i left the building which is ridiculous cause had they had watched the cameras or even ask the cooks cause the cooks seen me waiting for the restroom. My waitress did ask if we were gunna take anything home but i didn’t want my little one to feel more uncomfortable and what were they gonna do after they had already cleared my table??? Ridiculous. Knowing i had a child with me and nobody seen me leave the building and would just clear a table? People kept knocking on the restroom door and i would answer not knowing if it was an employee or not but i come here too often to do such a thing especially with a child. I don’t think you should assume someone would do such a thing without checking cameras or the building to see if someone is actually gone, no matter how long they are away from the table. Do better with your employees and double check before assuming especially when there’s a child. Children are unpredictable when it comes to using...

Such bad staff management, pleasant staff but inept. About 5 different servers came by the table, none of them knew what was happening from the previous one, despite them walking past each other and the restaurant being small/not that many tables. I asked for fries when we ordered. And again. And again. And again. And again. And gain. Yep, it was at least 7 times, but embarrassing enough it could have been more. The food was decent but not amazing. I'm not much of a sushi person, so the wrong one to judge. Slightly fishy salmon in the Philly roll, served room temperature. The atmosphere was smoky with a shellfish smell, dark, and somewhat loud. I liked the fish mosaic decor on the wall. By the end, I was annoyed enough I barely gave a 15% tip and considered doing under 10%. Especially because it took forever to get food, the fries took forever times ten, they forgot to bring out a roll our table ordered so it was late, and put something else we didn't order on the big serving plate. We clearly gave one order at the beginning, in writing and made no changes. How was that too hard for them? The next waiter said we wouldn't be charged for the extra roll they mistakenly served (duh) but then they put that roll on the receipt instead of the one we did order. It wasn't worth haggling the couple dollars difference with the next waiter in the rotation. It was a pleasant enough time because we were enjoying each other's company, but it was still a relief to get out of...
