UPDATE: After everything that happened (below) I brought my phone into a Samsung store and they said the people at mobilelink "forcibly pried" the back off my phone cracking the corner slickly and used "double sided tape" to put it back together. The Samsung technician told me "If you were to drop this phone one time the entire back would pop off and potentially destroy your phone. These people conned you."
I'm not a fan of leaving negative reviews, but I felt it could be helpful for others for me to post my recent experience with this shop.
Short Version: I brought my phone in to get the screen replaced and they replaced it with a very low quality screen that has been causing more damage to my phone. They will not rectify the situation.
Full version: I was in town for the weekend helping a friend move to the area. I mentioned how I was in the middle of a stressful move and needed help asap. I went in for a screen replacement having cracked the glass the night before. I was told the part was in stock and that they could have it repaired within the next 4 hours for $400. I returned 4+ hours later to pick up my phone and upon first glance I didn't notice anything wrong. I chose to pay an additional $38 for a screen protector (side note, horrible price for a cheap screen protector that had bubbles and scratches within an hour of leaving the shop). That night I realized my phone battery had dropped significantly and it was burning up. My phone's charge typically lasts 12 hours with moderate use - this was in my pocket for 4 hours, almost no use, and is almost dead. Then my wife points out that the screen is much smaller than it was before and she was right. The corners were rounded and the screen didn't go all the way to the edges of my case like it did before. Then after I play with it more I'm noticing a ton of issues- texting/keyboard is glitchy, the colors are off, I can't access the sidebar, etc. So, since the shop was closed I decided to pop by the next morning to get everything sorted out and hopefully have them replace the screen with the proper replacement. I get into the shop and the employee (same guy from the day before) took zero responsibility and even argued with me that the screen was correct. I was then told they only use aftermarket parts and that there are no guarantees on what they look like (rounded corners, etc.). When I told him I wanted my phone back to the way it was before without all the new issues he has caused he told me word for word "9 times out of 10 people just want a working phone". He refused to fix the problems or give me a refund. He told me to contact the shop's technician for more help, but wouldn't give me any information other than the stores number and that "he'll be in on Monday." I reminded him that I lived an hour away and that I needed a working phone in the meantime and he reiterated there was nothing he could do. I was angry, I felt I had been taken advantage of, and now I would have to take a 2 hour roundtrip and time off work to resolve something that should have been long taken care of. I finish the move and drive back home. The next morning I get a call from Marcell, the shop's technician, and was told that they didn't give refund of any kind. He told me I could come back up and he would personally "guarantee" that this time I would receive OEM high quality parts. If this was an option the first time why did they feel it acceptable to charge me for faulty/low quality aftermarket parts and then claim no responsibility? I explained that I had no confidence that they would fix my issues this 2nd time and that it was a hassle taking the time to drive back up. Marcello said "Well, call us back when you can schedule a trip up. Otherwise we do not do refunds." Ultimately I am nearly without a phone (it heats up so bad it won't take a charge, I can barely text on it as the keyboard glitches out so badly, etc) and now have to find another shop in my area that can fix their mistakes. I am in the process of disputing their charges with my...

I went in for a cracked screen and when i got it back my speaker didn't work, the screen wasn't even placed correctly so it was raised out of the frame and when you touched the top of the screen it would make the volume go crazy. None of the the sensors on the screen (back button and tab button) even worked. We waited 3 weeks because he said he had to order a "new screen" but when I found out all this was wrong with it he had a bunch of exsuces... I wasn't having it though as i paid 150$ (he told me me it was so much bc the cost of the screen and labor) and I got more problems then when I went in. So I finally got him to fix the issues and he did fix everything except my back button and tab button. He just put an app on the phone that added a home, tab, and back button that constantly are on my screen, but this was supposed to be a temporary solution. He told me he needed to order the sensors for them and he wouldn't charge me. A week passed and i heard nothing and every time I would call he either wouldnt answer or just give me another exsuce. In the end I'm still stuck using the stupud app he installed because it never got fixed. Along with all of this he took my phone and had the audacity to write a very positive review from my Google account without my permission. He also liked a lot of the 5 STAR FAKE REVIEWS THAT HE WROTE!
My dad also had brought in his phone, the only thing wrong with it was that he didn't remember the pin to unlock the phone. (Keep in mind he had only had just got this phone a few months ago so it was like brand new) He offered to do a diagnostic on it to see if he could unlock it or at least get the inforinformation like pictures,contact,ect... off it and he would only charge us if he did. Long story short he couldn't do it after a few weeks and no word from him we picked it up but the phone screen never came on. We called him to complainand, he had the nerve to tell us it was like that when we brought it in.... he still never fixed it and my dad had to end up getting...
Read moreFeb 9, 2013 Before my component replacement review gets abridged by the "Read more..." button, read this whole review. My brother lost grip on my Verizon Galaxy Nexus and then basically ended up throwing my phone on his tile floor. You all know the sight, battery door, phone and battery go flying. It's happened before but this time the screen came back with multiple cracks (see photo). I immediately started looking online for replacement screens and prices, then for instructions on how to do the replacement. After seeing the prices weren't low enough to keep me from looking, I thought about looking for a used phone. However, I realized there was some data on my phone that wasn't backed up like it should have been and I had no way of getting it off (trust me, I tried ideas from many forums). I found this place from a Google search and decided to call for a quote. The quote wasn't that different from buying the screen replacement myself so I decided to give it a try. When I walked in, I saw the engineer/technician sitting behind a table behind the front counter with probably about 10 phones out. Before he started working on one, he put on an ESD wristband (prevents electrostatic discharge) which gave me a warm fuzzy inside because static electricity can fry your circuit boards without you noticing. After I paid and gave my pattern for unlocking (thus the lack of Excellent service), I asked if there was any kind of guarantee. The response was that the engineer/technician has an electrical engineering degree and has done hundreds/thousands of phones.I came back 5 days later to pick up my phone and it started right up with the beautiful new screen. The engineer/technician told me that if I had taken my phone anywhere else, they would only have replaced the front glass (which was unharmed by the fall) or there would be bubbling behind the screen after 30 days. MobileLink replaced not only the front glass, but the entire front face which included some integrated circuits as well.So far, I'm very pleased with my experience and the price for this screen replacement service. If I experience anything to the contrary from this point forward, I'll be updating...
