THIS HOTEL IS NOT HANDICAPPED FRIENDLY! We requested an ADA (handicapped accessible) room when we made our reservation in early October. We were assured we would have an ADA room when we arrived. Upon arrival on Nov. 7, we were given the keys to Suite 103. It had 1 king size bed and the room was very spacious, with laminate floors rather than carpeting, which is excellent for wheelchairs. It appeared to be an ADA room until we opened the bathroom door. The toilet was a standard low boy (too low for a wheelchair bound person of average height 65"+ to safely use), there were no handrails to assist a person to stand or to sit. The tub had one vertical handrail placed in the wrong area to be helpful at all. I was unable to climb into or out of the tub, as there were no handrails across the back of the tub, or horizontally on the side wall that I could grab onto to assist me in sitting down in the tub, or getting out of the tub. As for taking a shower, there were no appropriately placed handrails to support while climbing into or out of the tub, and there was no chair or bench to sit on while showering. The sink was in the entry way across from the bathroom. It was set so far back, I could not reach the faucet, while seated in my wheelchair. There was no space where I could slide my legs under the sink enabling me to get closer to make use of it. When we complained, and asked for an ADA room and bathroom, we were told they had only one such room, and it was unavailable. So, for the four days we stayed there, I was unable to shower or bathe. I couldn't even take a sponge bath, wash my hands or brush my teeth because I could not reach the sink faucet.

The size of the room was nice, I rented a king room with jacuzzi tub, the working fireplace was great. What wasn't so nice was for the size of the room the TVs were too small less than 40 inches in the sitting room and in the bedroom, and the bathroom was less than stellar with repaired patches on the wall with white paint tattered shower curtains in the bathroom in the bathroom, the bathroom was standard, for what I thought I rented, there's no upscale in the room whatsoever the jacuzzi tub is small it is not big enough for two people or a couple, it's also old very old, unfortunately I did think there was going to be some kind of luxury upgrade when renting probably one of their more expensive rooms but apparently not, they really need to remodel and redecorate and get bigger TVs and better fixtures, I thought the comfort inn was a sister hotel to the Hilton inn but I guess not, as far as the complimentary breakfast that you used to get that is no longer, due to covid times but they do give you a 4 oz juice a granola bar and a Danish or muffin and a little back to go with a choice of coffee or hot chocolate, I don't understand why the hotels did to still charge you full price for less service, less everything you have access to.

great! the reservation was made in my husband's name, however, at the time of check-in he was not present, I was alone and the receptionist was super kind and offered to help me. Despite how hot it was (over 100°) the room was super cool, the temperature was perfect, they took care to prepare everything so I could have a good rest. The room was very spacious, bigger than expected, super clean and nice. I recommend!

It was the beginning of last year, somewhere in February-March, when I decided my week was overwhelming, my patience was was being tested and that I desperately needed a few days to have to myself in quiet serenity, where I could watch as much tv as I want, lay in bed all day without feeling guilty about it, and eating a delicious breakfast that I didn’t have to make. When I researched comfort inn, with the big lush looking bed, the complimentary breakfast and seemingly friendly and attentive customer service (my hat goes off to the photographer who must’ve been a woman to display empathy so effectively. With the photos of what appears to be smiling attentive hotel staff members perfectly posed in soft lighting and body language that said “I’m here to help, be our guest”, definitely a woman photographer. dang affective advertisement. Got me again). However, to my dismay, I perhaps had expecting too much. For around 120 $ a night customer service was not at all what I had hoped, and left much to be desired. The Wi-Fi was in and out throughout the entire 48 hours I stayed for whatever reason the “complementary breakfast“ turned into a complementary cup of water, because the dining area was not open, you would think from a luxury hotel, even a mediant luxury hotel that they would comp their guest something in exchange for the inconvenience and broken promises in the unfulfilled dream of a breakfast that I was very much looking forward to enjoying with out having to make it. It wouldn’t of even had to taste good as long as I didn’t have to make it for once I would’ve been more than satisfied when I brought this to the attention of the staff members I was so quickly dismissed as though I were a peasant as it being a situation beyond their control. When I had reminded the front desk staff members that I had called ahead and was promised the complementary breakfast, that I was so determined to enjoy only to find that the dining area was not even open. Therefore, there was no complementary breakfast again I was dismissed with the excuse of it being beyond their control. Beyond their control? Needless to say I had to remind myself “deep breath’s” I had already paid for the two nights, so I figured what the heck and stayed another night. If I couldn’t get comped for anything free, then I was going to ask the front desk for extra pillows. I was determined to get something out of this and yes, I did take the complementary shampoo and conditioner home with me. And so I waited an hour and then I waited two hours. I called the front desk again and then waited another hour. Afraid of what I might see if I had to call the third time I decided to just go to sleep. Perhaps in the year since then things have changed perhaps they have better management in customer service. Perhaps they don’t break their promises of complimentary. Breakfast is to young women, so determined and enjoying it, but I will say that I personally will not...

I have previously stayed at this location and that is why I came back for Mother's Day with my boyfriend. This stay was not as pleasant as the one before. We checked in at night and that staff member was very kind. However, the day time manager has a nasty disposition and was very rude toward me during the two night stay. Yesterday, housekeeping walked into my room to see if we were there...we were still in bed. This manager saw me go outside to smoke cigarettes on both days. First day, she felt the need to quote CA state law on smoking by entrances, like I am not a pre-law student. If I didn't know any better, with the area we are in, I wouldn't be surprised if the attitude was purely racist. After all, the people standing waiting when I checked out were all brown women. However, upon checkout, they tried to say I smoked in my room and that there was evidence. I was in the position of leaving when the housekeeping manager accosted me, saying I should have been gone, despite my saying I had late check out. I wasn't even on the elevator before she said there was "proof" I smoked in there. The room was stuffy so I opened the window, which was my biggest mistake. There were burns in the windowsill and an old butt to a cigarette already there. They decided to rudely blame me on checkout and kept $250 of mine. Do yourself a favor if you stay at this location...a) go when the day manager isn't there. b) put your deposit on a card so if you get falsely accused, corporate can refund the money they try and keep. c) check the entire room, even the windows upon check in, so you can get another room. I chose this one for the hot tub and now I have to rage to get my money back. If it weren't for my anxiety disorder, I would have pulled her over the counter for her rudeness. I gave 2 stars because the lady that works at night and one housekeeper don't deserve to be a part of this review. I will be contacting them later with an open corporate case. I will update the review with what...

Dear choice hotels, I regret to inform you that my stay at your comfort inn Lancaster Ca. 824 was terrible. Front desk associate Kasandra offended and humiliated my family and I by talking about my child to a third party in front of us. The next morning while we were trying to enjoy our breakfast she kept on Staring at us forcing us to leave because we felt very uncomfortable. She was on her personal cell phone most of the time or she was holding her baby while she was behind the desk. She seemed like she was upset and very unhappy doing her job. I called customer service to make a report I also mentioned how my room was dirty and in need of some repairs. I paid above average on the going rate for this room, I thought I would be getting a quality room, I was wrong. Attached to this email you'll find some pictures; the floor was really dirty and left our socks black as one of the pictures will show you, I wiped the floor with one of your towels, the bathroom vent was missing, the shower curtain was falling apart, there were marks all over the walls, one of the windows was missing the screen. Soon after calling customer service they suggested we talk to the general manager to see if they can change our room or do something for us which I've tried to do but she is out till Monday. The person who helped me couldn't do anything for me besides let me know that they had similar issues with the front desk person and that nothing is done due to the general manager being her sister. He was very apologetic for the inconvenience that we had to go through but he couldn't do much for us. If employees can get away with bringing their babies to work and treat their job like of itI was their own home, the expectations and hospitality standards are just not that important. I would also like to add that our vacation was ruined. Do NOT...
