Silly Willy Kids Cuts — Local services in Lancaster

I have seen them a few times, they are located right across from one of the High Desert Urgent Care locations/Facilities. Between J8 and K, off 15th street.

The salon is adorable. When you first walk in, you see the "Cars", which the kids get to sit in. In the center, is a corral, with toys, books and imaginative play stations. Along the side, plenty of chairs for parents/guardian to sit and watch.

We had Nasreen, whom I had called earlier to discuss walk in appointments. My eldest was in need of a cut and I had not visited this establishment yet, so did not know any info. She was friendly and tried to find when could best work for me. Unfortunately at the time, nothing they had would work for our schedule that day. I then said I would try another time, however, an hour or so later, she was able to get me an appointment and we were able to come in.

I really appreciated her manner on the phone and follow up. I didn't feel push, and she was very kind to my 9 year old, who was the real client. She listened to his needs as well as mine and we had a very happy kid at the end.

My child as no "issues" with hair cuts, but we do know people who have those issues. I only say this, because as one of the other hairdressers were cleaning up, they checked with us about the vacuum. I just thought, that it was nice.

I had an appointment to be seen at a certain time which I loved because I have a 15 month old and our little good mood window is, well, very small in between naps, snacks, and bottles. We show up to our appointment 10 minutes early with not even a slight welcome or smile. Okay, trying to be as understanding as possible I figured it was because all 3 stylists were busy. I take my 2 kids to the “play area” which has a carpet I later realized hadn’t been washed or vacuumed probably ever. My kids clothes had a mixture of filth and hair just stuck to them. It was disgusting. I sat there for 45 MINUTES with not a single slight glance or acknowledgment! I had to stand up and request someone cut my baby’s hair and it wasn’t even the girl who I had an appointment with (Nasreen). She was still working on the same teenager from when we had walked in. Rashell proceeds to cut my baby’s hair who at this point is just completely over it so the haircut was very rushed. It took about 10 minutes! Needless to say in regards to punctuality, cleanliness, overall customer service, and price (which I will gladly overpay for a good haircut with great customer service) I will NEVER ever book here again and would NEVER recommend this...

It was my fault for not paying attention the whole time, as I had my 4 year old with me. I showed the lady a picture of the way my wife and 8 year old son wanted his hair. She asked some questions and we let her know what we wanted. It seems like she did the complete opposite of what we asked her. It wasn’t until we stopped to get something to eat when I noticed how badly his hair was cut. This was the second time being here where the cut was just completely amateur. We will never be back.

Update Nicole is the BEST. She reached out to me and my wife, gave us a refund and offered to fix our son’s hair free of charge. She was extremely professional and communicative and was able to get us in 3 days later. Our son was looking sharp just in time for his birthday party. Everyone makes mistakes, that’s understandable. But it’s so refreshing to see a business stand by their work and go above and beyond. I will absolutely be back...
