The Desert Hills Motel — Hotel in Las Vegas

What a shithole! I have never stayed in a more disgusting room in my life. The baracks in military housing were like the Taj Mahal by comparison. The bed was like plywood. The room smelled musty. The floor had a hump in it that I tripped over. The door had a space under it that a rat could fit through. The microwave had rust in it. The pool had big dumpsters next to it that were overflowing with trash. There was a van sitting on the property that that clearly had not moved in many years, with four flat tires and old mattresses leaning against it. The neighborhood looked like the kind of place you would be lucky to get out of alive. There were scumbags everywhere you looked. The office lady seemed like she was high on meth. She was a tenacious liar. She said that we had to leave a one hundred dollar deposit, cash or credit card. We elected to leave cash and then she said she needed the credit card info as well. It was clear that she wanted the credit info. This was further validated by the reviews we found on Yelp and other places. One after another claimed credit card fraud after they left. What was worse is that she told us we would not be able to get our cash deposit back until between 3 and 5 the next day. In other words, the day would be shot waiting for her to come out of her drug induced stupor. She even had the nerve to say that we could leave our home address and she would mail it to us! Whatever you do, don't pay attention to the hotel reviews on their website. They are ALL bogus. The picture's look to be from nicer placer located far away from there. I felt so slimy and disgusting after one night in there that I wanted to blow torch my whole body so I could feel clean again. I don't have the option to leave less than one star or I would. This place should be put on a Las Vegas tour of the top ten dung...

At first I wasn't going to write a review on this place becasue I didn't want to write anything negative, but nope, people need to know the truth! Me and my 2 kids ended up staying here for 2wks because we were in between houses and unfortunatly this was the only place that had vacancies within my budget (weekly's are cheaper and cleaner than this place). So, the motel is run down, dirty carpet, dirty walls, the microwave wasn't cleaned, the linen looked dinjy and dirty, it stunk really bad, carpet was tore up, I never locked my door when I left because it was super hard to unlock the door because the key wasn't reaching the lock part. The heater only had 1 knob so had to use that knob for heat, air, warm and cool! After staying for a week, the housekeeper came to do room service and had the audacity to tell me that if I wanted her to vacuum or make my bed we would have to step out of the room because of the corona virus, yet she was standing at the door talking to me with no mask on but wanted me to step out, a little dumb but even worse, she so worried about the corona virus yet she had on gloves that were not disposable touching everything including the cart, vacuum cleaner and door knobs without changing gloves and touching clean linen but worried about the corona virus. The room was nasty and dirty when we moved in so I'm not trippen on her not wanting to clean because when I got there I cleaned the walls, microwave and used my own sheets, pillows and towels. Tell me why when I went to go get my deposit, these fools told me that I left a soiled sheet and towel, yet we had our own sheets and we used the towels to clean them nasty walls.... Unless you're just desperate and all the other motels and weekly's are taken, don't stay at this nasty, dirty, stinky, overpriced motel, you would be better off sleeping in...

Booked this motel harriedly via booking.com a few days before new year's eve, with my family. I have never regretted anything in my life until now.  I thought it would be good to spend a couple of days in Las Vegas sort of a layover and at the same time to experience what new year celebration is like here.. very bad end of the year experience for us. |This motel was presented really well on booking.com. i should have read the reviews on tripadvisor before booking..noted years ago but the reviews remains true to this date and highly  agreeable! I should not have trusted the website or booking.com. What you see is not what you get on this one.  It  is  cheapest of cheap! The place stank of cigarette smoke, urine, ammonia and damp. They must have tried to mask the smell with some laundry freshener but failed as the stench persists. The room is cold and it is suffocating! They have the audacity to ask $100 deposit for incidentals! Not good value for money..I paid $394. I feel severely cheated! The wall panels that divide the rooms from another is made of wood that we could hear the residents conversations from one side, and coupling sounds from the other.  The beds are of cheap quality. I highly don't recommend it.  Steer clear. Please don't even think of booking this motel..even if you're that desperate. A couple of hours after I had a bad headache, nausea, and dizziness. So bad that I decided to book another place to stay for the night. No,no,no don't book..you will be making a Big mistake....
