Rodeway Inn Fremont – Extremely Disappointing Experience Don"t fall for the fake reviews. This place is a trap. I don’t usually write bad reviews, but this stay was so bad I felt compelled to share my experience to help others avoid it. I chose this hotel because Rodeway Inn is typically a brand with some basic standards, and for Las Vegas, the off-strip pricing seemed fair—especially given limited availability during a busy weekend. But from the moment I arrived, it was a disaster. Check-in was supposed to be at 3 PM, but my room wasn’t ready even by 6 PM. When I finally got in, I was hit with a strong smell of cigarette smoke in a non-smoking room. The property was filthy and clearly neglected. Trash was scattered around the exterior (see attached photo), and the room key only worked once each time, forcing multiple trips back to the front desk. Inside the room, things were even worse: The bed was low quality—you could feel every spring. The shower was filthy, with pubic hairs stuck to the wall, and the showerhead was bent, spraying water toward the wall. I had to lean against the side of the shower just to rinse off—and I had to clean it before I could even use it. There were boogers smeared on the wall near the toilet, which was just disgusting. When I returned to the room the next day, it smelled like a cat litter box soaked in urine. To top it off, there was a fight outside my door at 6:30 AM. I told the staff, and their response was completely dismissive—just like it was when I reported the rest of the issues. No apology, no attempt to make it right. When I decided I couldn’t stay there another night and tried to check out early, they had the audacity to try to charge me a $60 early checkout fee, even though I had prepaid for additional nights. This was hands-down one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Unsafe, unsanitary, and poorly managed. I strongly recommend avoiding this property. Spend a little more or stay somewhere else—you’ll thank yourself later.

⭐️⭐️ Rodeway Inn on Fremont Street has a convenient location close to downtown Las Vegas, but unfortunately the overall experience leaves much to be desired. The property feels dated, and while the staff were polite, the condition of the rooms and surrounding area detracts from the stay. One major concern is the environment right outside the hotel. This part of Fremont Street is very active at night, and it’s impossible not to notice that the world’s oldest profession is openly operating nearby. That kind of atmosphere makes the area feel unsafe, especially for families or anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable stay. If you’re seeking affordability and proximity to Fremont Street, it might serve the purpose. But be prepared: the neighborhood activity and the overall upkeep of the property make it difficult to recommend beyond two stars.

Rodeway Inn Fremont – Extremely Disappointing Experience

Don"t fall for the fake reviews.

This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. It all started before I even checked in. My flight was delayed so I called ahead to let them know I would be arriving late--way past the check in time and I wanted to let them know so they wouldn't cancel my reservation. They said they would leave a note, but yet called me three more times asking if I was still coming in.

After I arrived, the front desk girl charged my card and then said it didn't go through, but it even let me sign my name all the way through and my checking account said it went through. She didn't know how to fix it, so she gave us the room and told us to come back in the morning.

When we came back the next morning, they said to return in the afternoon because "it was too early."

Each day we had to get the key reprogrammed because each night we returned it wouldn't work. We stayed a total of 4 days--not once did housekeeping come in. The area of the hotel is also a little sketchy, it wasn't fenced in that one night a random person came knocking on our door, we obviously didn't answer.

On the last night, I discovered that they charged us again, so now I was out DOUBLE the amount for this stay. My husband went to talk to front desk to get the issue resolved, but they charged us--AGAIN! It was evident that the workers although tried their best, are extremely incompetent.

The morning we tried checking out we asked for the manager's name and a receipt to try to get this issue resolved, but the front desk girl had no idea what she was doing, said the computer wasn't working and kept calling different people.

All this trouble, was NOT worth the price. I do...
