Padella Italiana — Restaurant in Lathrop

Had the Cajun Penne. It was good. Expected more based on other reviews/hype. It was flavorful. Had the right amount of spice. I'm a lightweight so it didn't make my nose run or my mouth itch, but I definitely tasted and felt the spice on my pallate. I could have used more mushrooms though.

They were very generous with the cheese on the bread. The bottom of the bread is pretzel-like in texture.

The meal was muy guido as my dad would say. Definitely not a two person meal if you're a pig like me. However, it was a two person meal if you're not a glutton. I was satisfied afterward. Spent very close to $20. Will eat there again, next time...

First time to try this today. I had just ordered take-out for my husband. I ordered the Seafood alfredo. We ended up eating it for dinner later that day. It was delicious! It was a creamy garlic sauce with shrimp, scallops and mussels as the seafood. Serving size was enough for me and husband to share (but we do eat on the lighter side). It came with some sliced French bread on the side. It was a little spicy for me, it definitely had a kick to it but my husband said it was not spicy at all. We will definitely be going back to try the other items on the menu. Hopefully next time I'll take a photo...

Over the last year the food has definitely changed. Some days it's good and rich in flavor and others it's so watered down and so flavorless. Today I got the chicken Alfredo they were fast in getting my order done but the noodles were a bit undercooked. The sause was good so was the chicken but the noodles just killed it for me. The sause was also very little. I did ask for more sause but it was still very dry. Thankfully the service today was on the better side. Still will come back but they should have more consistency...
