My wife and I stayed here while on vacation, and really loved our experience. I looked around at various options in Lauderdale by the Sea for a while, and ultimately decided on Blue Seas Courtyard after reading the glowing reviews. The property and staff completely lived up to everything I read, and I won't hesitate to stay here again when returning to Lauderdale by the Sea.
I'm not entirely sure which type of room we rented, since we booked it through CC points that didn't list options, but I believe it was the efficiency studio. The room wasn't huge but it provided everything we needed and more, including a very usable kitchen, dresser, and TV. It was quite clean and decorated in the same hacienda style as the rest of the property. Very well done interior overall, and not just random generic hotel art.
There are plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, and bikes available to guests, and even a hose that we used to rinse our scuba gear in a plastic tub that was also provided. We were really blown away by how thoughtfully set up everything was.
Our favorite part overall though, was definitely the pool/courtyard area in the evening. The property itself is beautifully styled and well kept, with original art dotting the buildings as well as custom tile work. At night, it goes from great to "holy cow" when the lighting comes on and creates an absolutely beautiful ambiance. We really enjoyed hanging out by the pool and getting to meet the other guests in such a neat environment.
There are fancier hotels/resorts in the area, but the Blue Seas Courtyard is really something special that manages to go way beyond what you would expect for it's size and nightly rate. It's very clearly a result of the owners and management really caring about their creation and the experience of the guests who visit. They've really done a wonderful job, and I look forward to staying here...
Read moreOmg! I almost don’t want to write this review about this gem of a hotel! It will be even harder to book a room! lol! We just visited last week. Let me say we’ve been going to area for years visiting family n usually stay w them. But we’d pass this quaint boutique hotel and want to stay. We are SO glad we did! Booked for next year as well! The attention to detail from the place as a whole, to the exquisite artwork, colorful gardens n pottery, light fixtures surrounding the place n pool, to the rope lighting, the rooms (expertly decorated, clean n neat! TY to Christina! What a doll!) and the grounds! Mexican Hacienda style done at its finest! Gary, the manager, literally runs around all day making sure everything is perfect! The man doesn’t sit still for a minute! He really makes you feel at home. Last but not least.. THE OWNERS! Cristie n Marc! They put their ALL into this place n it shows! She’s around talking w all her guests, (who btw, have been going for YEARS!) really make you feel welcome. ** You see this place on the list of hotels, book it!! You...
Read moreWould have been 5 stars across the board, but on second to last day my fiancé was recovering from sun poisoning and Gary maintenance man / housekeeping knocked on door and my fiancé asked if he could please come back in 20 minutes she just woke and was about to shower. He said while I’m here’s two towels. Then when she grabbed them he’s like let me sneak in and grab trash and walks by her as she’s in night gown naked underneath . She felt totally violated and embarrassed. This put HUGE bad taste in our mouth rest of vacation. Especially in todays world there’s ABSOLUTELY no reason to not come back n 20 minutes as she asked. Hopefully they can retrain him on listening to the guest. It was actually not busy there at all so I don’t see the rush he could not wait. Other then that Christine was very nice , but incident really bothered us rest of vacation. So update because I wrote a not so good review about our stay Christine one of owners tried to write something negative about us. This tells me everything I need to know about her character . I WOULD NEVER...
