Beautiful beach! However being forced to pay $20 to park for 2 hours is completely ridiculous. The local police are cruising through the parking areas waiting to pounce on any vehicle that has exceed its time limit so that they can ticket/boot it. There are signs every that say it will cost you $65 to get the boot removed. Not very conducive to the tourists who come to the area and want to visit the local businesses as well as enjoy the beach. Lauderdale by the Sea was a spectacular place to spend three days in January! Warm and friendly, the town is both relaxed and energizing. The Beach Pavilion is at the Heart of it all. It's where the community gathers in the evening, surrounded by shops, restaurants and bars. It's super family friendly, super dog friendly, just super friendly. Definitely a nice area to come chill, look at the pier because it’s in no rush putting itself back together. Smh but the variety of restaurants, bars, stores, beach area plus the salt water. You can’t get no better. Oh parking is pretty ample, it of course cost money but it’s right in the middle of things...
