We are a very well traveled couple and stayed here for 2 cloudy and rainy weeks in December 2023.|We are very dissatisfied with our stay and do not consider this motel to offer what they advertise in their advertisement. Don’t be fooled by the name of this motel. It is far from a resort.||What we did like about this motel was the renovated rooms and the comfortable beds. Except the bedding in polyester.|We also liked the cleaning. (Thank you to the youngest of the housekeepers. Long dark curly hair. 30-35 years)||What we didn’t like are the following: ||The person in charge at the reception has zero sense of service.|Arrangements for check-in after 4 must be made in advance. Very important! There is no one who can check you in after office hours.||The first days we are neighbors with what seems to be a homeless family with 2 small children who bring their luggage in large garbage bags! Loud. Major disturbances.|Many kids in the pool who do not follow set pool rules. A lot of yelling and running.|High noise level at daytime and impossible to sleep nighttime due to parties in the courtyard.||As the staff go home at 4-5pm, there is no one to monitor these problems.||Manager has a unpleasant arrogant behaviour on the phone when we wish to check out early due to these issues. Refuses to give refunds for early check out.||A few days later we asked to change rooms for a room on second floor with less disturbances from courtyard.|Difficulty opening or locking the door in the new room from start. Door knob doesn’t work properly. Staff notices but doesn’t care. More about this later.||We decide to rent another hotel a couple of days as we need to get away from the hotel a few days.|When we get back there is very cold in the room. Trying to get heat from AC. Not working according to receptionist. ”It only works with cold air due to normal Florida weather”|The staff are wearing winter jackets, but do not offer elements or heaters to the guests. Asking for this.||The day after our door is locked, so we can’t get out. This happens after office hours. There is no telephone or emergency number in the room. Can't raise the alarm. Had to break open the door! Door frame now broken. Door cannot be opened with the knob. Taped. ||Staff response ” Why didn’t you call me?” No excuse. ||We didn’t see any cleaning of the pool during our stay. Lookedhealthily dirty.|Kitchen not fully equipped. Dirty pans and cutting boards.||The code lock on the door is not changed between guests. This, in combination with the fact that the hotel accommodates homeless people at the hotel, contributes to great insecurity for the guest.|Security box in room also broken. ||This is called Best Florida Resort.|This does not qualify as a resort. Didn't see anyone for the entire period.||Had two rainy weeks at this place. The first week there were two families with children who decided on the spot. Loud well into the evenings no action was taken before we told the receptionist about this. We also tried to cancel because of this. According to our booking we were entitled to this. When we were going to discuss this, we were met by an arrogant Manager who was also unpleasant and aggressive in his behavior.|A few days later we asked to change rooms for a room on second floor with less disturbances from courtyard.. After this change, we chose to stay at another hotel for a couple of nights to get some peace and quiet.||When we come back, it is freezing cold in the room and we find that the AC does not work when it comes to heating. Goes down and mentions this to the receptionist who is sitting with a winter jacket on, then gets the answer that they only work to cool down. No offer regarding heating elements spontaneously, but only after a direct request they come up with two heating fans.||The next problem occurs the next day when our door locks behind us when we are in the room. This also happened when we got the room, the receptionist then was a man. He said it happens sometimes. No attempt was made to replace the broken part then. We had to kick the door open to get out. When we mention the problem to the receptionist, she sighs and wonders why we didn't call their emergency number (it's down by the reception) difficult to call as we're locked in and there's no number in the room. Read moreDO NOT COME HERE! I went here over spring break with my friends and was not expecting a 5 star hotel, but I was definitely not expecting this. The room and pool was nice, but the people working here were so beyond rude. To start, they started giving us 5 towels at the beginning of the trip because we had 5 people staying in the room. After one night of giving us a noise complaint, they started giving us one towel every day and told us we were using too many towels. This was ridiculous considering we had 5 people and they refused to give us more than 1 towel. One morning when coming back, one of the owners came up to me and told me that I had flipped over tables and left trash all over the pool area. I did not come back to the resort that night and I left at 6pm and returned at 11am. They said this incident happened at 4am and that they had video proof of me. When I went into the office I told them that it was not me and that I would like to see the video "proof". They said that they did not want to do that because then they would have to involve the police and then take action and we would be kicked out. I kept repeating myself saying that it was not me and that I had not even been at the resort. They continued to tell us that we should not be at the place we were PAYING to stay at and to only be there to sleep. Other people in the resort were telling the owners that it was not us and that it was a group of males. They accused us in the rudest manner of doing something us girls would never do, they did not come to clean the room once, gave us 1 towel per day, and were overall so rude. I will never be returning here and I do not ever recommend anyone staying here! definitely NOT the best...
