This place is a hidden secret in the San Fernando Valley. 1st of all the staff, Mother, Father, Son couldn't be more friendly if they tried. They are accommodating, helpful, friendly, firm and fair. As with ALL motels an element of unsavory characters usually are within its goes with the turf. They make the best judgement based upon previous experiences if a person can rent a room or asked to go elsewhere. The mother is as sweet as cotton candy. ALWAYS happy to see you, she ALWAYS gives me my favorite room, #14 or 32. I travel a lot for work, coming to Los Angeles 4 times a month, sometimes staying for a week at a time, it's nice to see a familiar face and room. The rooms are getting a face lift as well, slow process but nonetheless, everything takes time and money. I receive a per diem per day, where I spent it is up to me, yes I could stay in a 250.00 a night room, but it doesn't make sense when I spend a fraction of that at this motel and keep the balance of my daily per diem. The bottom line is this, you could spend more and you could spend less for a place to stay overnight, but for value and reasonability, this is your best bet. Hands down. It is secure, covered parking, video cameras and clean, and close to everything, stores, fast food and highways. I'm sure if you tried this place once, you'd come again. Dr. Skip
