*NOTE THE HORRIBLE RESPONSES TO ALL OF THE RECENT BAD REVIEWS OF THE PULLMAN MIAMI AIRPORT.
The hotel at first glance, seems to be very modern, beautifully furnished and upscale. Plus It has great reviews on Priceline so I chose it.
BUT upon settling in, the entire hotel and surrounding hotel grounds are extremely worn out and need refreshing. Even the landscaping is in bad shape. This contemporary style chair in the photo is an example of what I’m talking about. The furniture at the pool, in the rooms and in shared public spaces is in the same shape….worn out!
The room has a Keurig coffee in it. I went to make coffee but the pods had already been used. The front desk sent more. The coffee mugs and water glasses were dirty. The coffee mug was badly chipped around the rim. The whole coffee scenario was gross.
I went to iron my dress and there was an ironing board but the iron was missing. They brought an iron.
I was so cold that I was shaking most of the night. Very cold air was blowing out of the vents non-stop and wouldn’t turn off. The heater did not work. The room never got above 60°. The lobby and bar were the same temperature. People in the bar were moving around to get away from the blowing cold air.
I got up early and found the bathroom floor was flooded. It was coming from under the wall. I believe this leak has been going on for a long time because my room smelled moldy and musty. My eyes were bright red and I was congested this morning from allergies.
The mattress was a lightweight piece of foam. When you sit on it, you sink in and both ends of the mattress go up. The sheets were thin and worn. The reading light (photo) didn’t work. The other photos are of the dirty bathroom, the uncomfortably low toilet and sink from the 90s, and the broken up bathroom tiles. The light switches were so gross I didn’t want to touch them.
Strangely, the hotel restaurant was not open on a Saturday night. The bar serves pub food.
The covered dining patio off the restaurant is fenced off and barricaded. It has sunken into the ground and pulled away from the building foundation like it is sinking. All of the exterior entrance thresholds are cracked and have sunken into the ground. I did not feel the structure was safe.
I left the hotel 2 hours earlier than I needed to and skipped the free breakfast because I was so uncomfortable and hadn’t slept. The airport was more comfortable than this place!!
When I checked out, I told the front desk clerk about the leak and her reply was “I will tell someone. Have a good day.” This is the EXACT same response to all of the bad reviews posted online. This comes from the top…horrible management practices.
The check-in staff and morning shuttle driver were all great! But this hotel is definitely NOT a 4 star hotel and is not worth hundreds of...
Read moreChose the hotel for its central location and because it was part of the ALL chain. The hotel was fine overall, and about average quality. I was expecting that a Pullman property would be better than average, but that proved not to be the case.
The breakfast, which was included for me as a ALL Gold member, was reasonable and nutritious, but very average in quality. Because I thought the made to order breakfast would be more to my liking, I ordered off their very limited breakfast menu instead of choosing the buffet. When I asked if I could get a couple pieces of fruit from the buffet to go with my breakfast (which was more expensive than the buffet based on some sides I ordered) I was told that was not possible, and I would be charged additionally for the buffet, which I thought was odd as I simply wanted a piece of fruit.
The room was comfortable and clean, but tired in its decor. Everything worked fine, but again it was very average.
The gym was disappointing. Now I get it, people staying at an airport hotel are not going to be looking for golds, gym or LA fitness, but it would be nice for all the equipment to work and be labeled. Literally half the dumbbells were not labeled in anyway whatsoever, so it was impossible to guess the exact weight other than adding up the plates and making a guest as to how much the bar and hardware weighed. The other half of the dumbbells were properly marked. This is an easy fix, and frankly bizarre to have them unmarked.
Similarly, the universal weight tower machine they had was missing many of the attachments, making it largely useless because of same. These are not expensive, and I acknowledge that they’re probably idiots who have stolen some of the accessories in the past, but that is no reason not to replace them.
A solution would be to put a card reader on the gym itself, and have a camera or two in there. The card reader was only on the outside door coming from the pool, and once you walked in there, you could use either the bathrooms or the gym without further card reading. Also, the door did not close properly, so it was not even necessary to use the card reader as you could simply pull the door open as if the lock was not even there.
If I have occasion to stay in the area again, I doubt I will choose this hotel, not because it was bad, but because I thought it only represented average value for the money and was in fairly...
Read morei’m writing you today because I’m very disappointed in the way that you charge for parking here. You give a guest 30 minutes free parking and then after that you want to charge $37. My wife had surgery and she has a masseuse here to do a Massage, so she gets 30 minutes free parking and then you want to charge me $37 for 30 minutes. The massage is one hour. I’ve already spent almost $3000 at this establishment since we’ve been here for the last 18 days. I’m very disappointed. Again, if you get 30 minutes free parking and then you want to charge me $37 for 30 minutes for the masseuse or even $20 at the rate I’m paying. It should be free. I’ve paid almost $3000 since I’ve been here including meals parking and hotel. and on the other side of the spectrum, when you do park in the parking lot here, there’s about 20 spaces that you can’t park in if it’s raining you have to literally take your shoes off and your socks roll up your pants so you can get out of your car the flooding is so bad.|The rooms are outdated. The beds are very old and sagging in the middle. The outlets near the beds do not work for charging.
