This visit was on 08/19/2025 our reservation was @7:45 Me and my fiancé came for a date night and wanted to try something new other than the usual places we go to (we had the Miami Spice). Everything was going great but our server was barely there you could just tell that she just wanted to leave. Maybe she was cut after they sat us, but you shouldn’t be nonexistent to your table. She didn’t ask us how our food was or how we were doing. She didn’t pre-buss either. Bussers/Foodrunners were more keen to watch the baseball game that was going on than to pick up our plates we had ready to be taken at the corner of our table. Even the manager passed by our table with the plates still there, instead she’s speaking to the hostess, busser, and another server. I don’t know a lot about places that have Hookah but there was a table across from us were their server hit the Hookah at least 4-5 times (her guests probably asked her to, who knows) I don’t know if they allow that in this establishment but if they do cool. I caught a busser/foodrunner look at our table and empty plates as if he was going to come and pick them up but hesitated and made a hand gesture that basically said “Nah” and walked away. Our plates were still there for 10-15 mins and only got picked up when our dessert came. After all that we still put an additional tip apart from the service charge on a $200 bill. When we got up to leave no one by the hostess stand acknowledged us leaving to at least say “Thank you, have a great night”, there were 4 people at the hostess stand including the hostess, manager, a server and an employee that’s wasn’t on the clock that decided to stop by to chat. Apart from the service not being great from any of the staff including the manager (yes our server and bussers/food runners were friendly when they gave us our food and drinks, but that’s not the point). The food was good, but the service is what makes everything better, so unfortunately we didn’t have that. So I’d rather doordash or ubereats my food. Hopefully management and staff are spoken to because even though it was a slow night for them that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be paid...
Read moreI am genuinely confused how this place has as good of a rating as it does. The service is absolutely horrendous, and the food is very meh. I highly recommend going elsewhere, as most other places I've tried in Miami are fantastic and 100 times better than Barsecco.
I arrived for brunch shortly after opening. The hostess was staring at her phone, and did not greet me. After about 15 seconds of her not saying anything to me, I asked her for a table for 1 and she walked me to a table (without saying a word). Once I was seated, no one came to greet me. I noticed that there was a group of servers all standing around talking to each other at the bar, ignoring the patrons. Not a single other table had their drinks yet, and they were all waiting like I was. 5 minutes goes by and I started to get up to leave. A server then walks over and brings drinks to the table next to me, and then completely ignores me and walks off again. I managed to waive her down. She asked me if I had been helped yet and I told her no. Then she walks off without apologizing, and comes back to tell me that my assigned server is "busy in the office" and will be out in a few minutes. I told her I was just going to leave, and then she says "I guess I can take your order instead" at which point she takes my order. A few minutes later, a different server (who I assume was my assigned server) brings my coffee to the table. She doesn't say a word...just drops it off and walks off. I got smoked salmon benedict, which had a soggy english muffin and no hollandaise sauce. The breakfast potatoes were AMAZING, but the rest of the meal was disappointing. The second server then came back to ask me how it was (in the most cold and bored tone of voice ever). I didn't want to get into an argument, so I just paid the bill and left. It's offensive that I was forced to tip 18% at a...
Read moreHorrible service. Where to start? Firstly, we had a reservation for a table at 8:30pm for 18 people. There were 2 minors in our party. The rest were adults. When we arrived they told us that our party could not drink at all because there were two minors. No where in barseccos website does it say that minors cannot enter past a certain time first of all. Second of all, the hosts told us that it is a Florida Law that minors cannot enter bars without a parent or legal guardian. This is FALSE. Minors can enter and sit in any bar as long as accompanied by an adult OVER 21. It would be a different story if the companies policy said differently… but no where in the companies policy is this explicitly stated. Very rude attitude in explaining this.
Secondly, let me restate we reserved a TABLE for 18 PEOPLE. They sat us in the corner of the outside lounge on some lawn chairs with tables where we had to hunch over to eat and try not to spill our food. There were MULTIPLE open high tables and chairs and they refused to sit us at a regular table. Insisting that they were reserved. In the 2 hrs we were there those tables outside remained empty. My question is, even if they did have reservations, what makes those reservations of 10 people deserve an actual table over us? A party of 18 people with a reservation at an earlier time.
The service was unacceptable and subpar. The male hosts/managers/bouncers whatever they were, had a horribly nasty attitude and basically made up laws that didn’t exist. If you’re expecting a dining restaurant experience with a nice vibe, maybe skip this place.
Side note: Our server Andrea was very kind...
