10-Star experience here! Absolutely thrilled with the service received from GARY at the Mattress Warehouse in Middletown on Kohl Ave.near Dickey's BBQ. Upon entering the store, Gary approached my wife and myself with a smile and greeted us. At first, after introducing ourselves and asking to see a particular mattress that we saw online, Gary seemed a little reserved. I was unsure at first if I was going to receive the traditional "sales approach" where the salesman doesn't listen to what we are looking for and, instead, tried to recommend only the most expensive mattress just to make a sale. But shortly after viewing the requested mattress, and upon realizing this choice would have been a COLOSSAL mistake for us, Gary patiently asked us more questions about our reasons for seeking a new mattress. He asked specific qualifying questions about our sleeping styles and comfortable sleeping positions etc. On top of that, he took us over to the Bed Match and let it do the work. (We had never really experienced a matching machine like this before and thought it was pretty cool and very accurate!) After that, we viewed the recommend mattresses one by one. Gary was very informative and patient through the process! Yet in still, my wife and I thought the prices were very high for the mattresses that we felt were most comfortable. Gary left us for a moment to contact his GM. We were not expecting to make the purchase that day. But Gary returned and made us an offer that was extraordinary! They reduced the mattress price by almost $600.00 and included free delivery and basically threw in both king size box springs for free as well! Gary was serious about making a deal, but was first very serious about actually listening to our needs in order to make such a deal! PLEASE SHOP ELSEWHERE. I was absolutely disappointed by the lack of customer service and business policies practiced at this establishment. My husband and I purchased a mattress (upwards of $2600). We returned a week later to purchase box springs. The order was for low profile box springs, and my husband decided to pick them up instead of having them delivered. When he got them home, we realized they were not low profile - they were standard. I gave customer service a call and they advised we would be able to exchange and they instructed us to speak with the manager of this location. First and foremost, the manager was extremely rude and dismissive. She explained there would be a fee for the company to retrieve the unused box springs, and an additional fee to bring the new ones. I asked if we could drop them off to avoid the delivery fee, and she explained that was against their company policy. We ended up keeping the incorrect size, as exchanging them would be close to the cost of what we paid for the box springs (about $350). To have a customer purchase an item for close to $2600, and then attempt to charge close to $200 for an unused item exchange is absolutely ridiculous. I would never purchase from this company again and I warn others not to. They do not value you or your business. It is not worth it. My husband and I have never bought our own bed before, so we had no idea where to start. I asked on our local Facebook page and many people recommend this location and to see Lawrence. We are so glad we listed to them! We walked in and was greeted right away by him. He had us lay down on the bed match bed. It gave us a few to try. We tested them all and found the one we liked best. I was skeptical about the movable base but after trying it, I fell in love with it. I walked in with a headache and after laying in the zero gravity mode of the bed frame for about 10 -15 minutes my headache was gone. I get frequent migraines and couldn't believe it was gone with no medicine needed. When we were checking out his computer system crashed. It took a while to come back up. We didn't mind waiting, understanding computers crash. He bought us dinner next door at Dicky Pete's BBQ for the wait. Our new bed was delivered 3 days later. The delivery went smoothly and everything worked correctly. We love the adjustable base and the mattress is perfect for both of us.
