I stumbled upon Two Stones Pub almost by accident. What a serendipity! I sat at the bar where the sweet young girl bartender provided great service (Casey? Kelce? Forgive me, I forget her name). I tried a flight of four their own brews: Shift #4 cucumber grisette, Antonym farmhouse ale, Pony Gurl an American light lager and Bourbon the Russian stout (in order from left to right, see photo). I recommend adding the cucumber grisette as well as the Pony Gurl to your flights. I’m at the point in my beer tasting journey where I like very unique and unusual things that I may have never selected years before. For example, the Pony Gurl has a distinct coconut flavor, it’s very apparent. I actually very much enjoyed it! Now, I have to tell you about the appetizer flatbread that I got. I was enjoying time by myself, not very hungry in the first place but I was excited to review this place so I chose the ā€œfungi flatbreadā€. Complete with cauliflower crust (score!), mushrooms (of course), whipped goat cheese, arugula and walnuts. I had the time of my life indulging in this wonderful creation. I can’t wait to return and try more of what their menu offers. Other notes: Good background music. Friendly & diverse customer base. Good service completes their review with 5 stars. Thank you.

Came here on Friday and had lunch with my girlfriends. We were there quite early at 11:30 which is the time they open up for the day. It was empty as we were the first to arrive but I can tell this place is the go-to Pub because they get started getting patrons right after we arrived. The menu is pub style and they have a little bit of everything. To start, my girlfriends and I ordered the wings, truffles and mussels. My only con with the wings was that I bit into one that wasn’t fully cooked 🄓. Other than that, they were delicious. For drinks I ordered a French 75 and the Sun-gria. Both were delicious and light. For my entree, I ordered the BBQ Beef Brisket Melt that had caramelized onions, cherry pepper aioli, chihuahua cheese, pretzel bun (I swapped out the pretzel bun for a regular bun). This came with chips but I substituted for French fries. The brisket melt was delicious and very flavorful and the brisket s was well seasoned. Our server was super sweet and very accommodating to us. I can’t remember her name šŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™€ļø. Overall, the atmosphere and ambiance was great and the music was also great. The prices were great and overall, a person can spend about $20-$30 per person. I’d definitely stop by again when I visit Middletown, Delaware.

Didn’t want to trek out of town for a good (non-chain) meal on a Sunday night — and somehow we always forget about the Two Stones Pub in Hedgelawn Plaza. I’m so glad that we reintroduced ourselves last night! We’ve been fans of this brand since their OG restaurant in Newark (and it was the 2nd stop on our first date), and we’ve never been disappointed in their food! We had the chef weekly feature Ramen Mussels special for sharing, my husband the shrimp gumbo special, and I had the Summer Crab Risotto! Everything was delicious! Also, if you are GF, they have all of these options easily marked for you! I appreciated that they use local ingredients as well from Powers Farm and the Local Buzz. Very kid friendly, and our server gentleman last night was top notch! While our kids were not with us, I witnessed how great he was with kids at surrounding tables.

It was our favorite place to dine and drink craft beer. Average check was always around 150 for 2 with great tips. It was the last time we went there. You may ask why? The service was absolutely horrible. We got a booth that was serviced by bartender. She only came to us once to take initial order and then disappeared. It was during a week, it was not busy, there were only 3 tables and two couples behind bar. There were 6 waiters, bartender, and shift scheduling manager that was sitting behind the bar talking and drinking. We had to ask more than 9 times different waiters for a simple services: another round of drinks, we had to ask to get us fries that were ordered but they forgot to bring it, we had to ask for ketchup, etc. Waiters were not willing to help us as it was not their table and they were not getting tips, so each time they had to tell bartender to put the request in and each time someone different would drop it at our table. We ordered wings and got a small cup of blue cheese that was half filled. I got out of the booth and asked bartender to get 1 more cup, 30 min later no response, wings are cold, drinks empty, we are sitting next to 6 waiters that are on their phones and chatting to each other and bartender nowhere around. When we asked again the random waiter that of course had to ask bartender. The bartender yelled loudly across entire restaurant ā€œanother one?ā€ Well ā€œKarenā€ not another one, we never got 2nd cup in a first place. She literally ignored us when was passing by where I waived and tried to make an eye contact each time. She is so dumb that ignored empty drink glasses purposely put to the side of the table for her to see. The more customers drink the bigger check and bigger tips are. We did work as waiters and know how it works. She never apologized for being late or not responding to our requests. I wanted to get out leave, we had to ask a random waiter for a check. I wish I did not leave her tips, but did it anyway. You think we are the only ones that got awful service? A couple came over and set at the bar for 15 min right next to a scheduling manager or owner(idk) that did not get served drinks or even water. They were so pissed off that got...

Not the best first impression for me and my group of friends at the Two Stones Pub in Middletown.

They don't take reservations which I understand is becoming more and more common today. That is fine. We had a group of 11 and they tried to split us up into two sets of tables that were back to back. I asked why you can’t stick us together and I got told that my manager told me to do this. I asked our server to ask the manager to put us together. Our server came back with the answer of "My manager said no". My response ā€œI think we will be leaving once the rest of the group gets hereā€. This is when the manager changed her mind. She then moved us to the back room which was available the entire time. Why did I have to threaten to take our money somewhere else before she was willing to work with us!

The food was great and the service just as good.

The other issue that all of us had was that seven different times on seven different beers on their list we were told: ā€œwe are outā€. Three different times after that we were told: ā€œyou just killed the kegā€. If you have an extensive beer list I expect most of it to be available. I am also not a fan of the rule they have about which beers you can get a flight of. There are only a few select beers you can get in a flight. It was okay for me to send my server back and forth to get me samples which takes more time than giving me a flight that I would be paying for.

If they can get their beer situation under control, I think we would go back but for now we are hesitant to return to this place...

Great food, great atmosphere.

My wife and I went for dinner at about 6:30 on a Saturday evening. The was about a 30 minute wait because that were busy, but once we were seated, I noticed it wasn't a noisy place. The was music, but it was in the background and allowed for conversation.

There was about 6 different entrees which we wanted to try, so we will likely return. We ended up getting the crab cakes and flank steak, along with truffle fries for an appetizer. It was all extremely good.

The reason I am not giving a 5th star: the steak, while being great, was a little pricey. I always compare steaks to Texas Roadhouse. I could've gotten a ribeye, twice the size, for the same price. And I've never had a bad streak at Texas Roadhouse.

Also, the menu doesn't list the size of the meal. It would be nice to know if I'm going to get 4oz, 8, 12, etc., for every meal.

And, the sides are already set for each meal. Maybe they allow you to choose different sides than what is listed, but I prefer a restaurant to just list all the possible sides and let me pick and choose what I want to go with me meal.

Also, for the beer choices... with any place who serves their own in house beer, they should have a sampler special. They do have a "Flight of the day" which allows you to have 4 of their beers, but they choose which four, and there is no price or description of...
