But, nothing could have prepared me for the exceptional experience that my daughter-in-law & I had with Kimberly Westfield at the Milford Showroom location. Kimberly’s depth of design knowledge, sense of style, active listening skills to get to know her client and natural ability to integrate personal preferences with budget expectations are a winning combination that exceeded all expectations. Her passion for design especially shined as she took the time to educate us about design choices & recommendations that elevated our knowledge base & inspired confidence in my daughter-in-law as she made her choices. I have never learned more from a decorator. She patiently spent time with us during the design process without ever making us feel rushed or pressured. Read moreThe breadth of selection and styles at Ethan Allen is fantastic - but we came to the store to work with Kimberly. My wife and I worked with Kimberly years ago (and at another store) to furnish our first apartment - and when it came time to furnish our first house, there was only one designer we would consider working with. Kimberly is brilliant; no hyperbole. She has an uncanny eye and goes above and beyond to get to know her clients, their tastes, and their space in order to develop bespoke designs. Kimberly is incredibly thoughtful and detail-oriented; just as important as her creativity, she is honest and trustworthy. She'll never "sell" you on something (her designs tend to do that on their own, and she's great at articulating why she's chosen what she has), and she won't waste existing pieces you love...she'll find ways to integrate your current furniture into her designs, and she'll work within a given budget. We hadn't seen Kimberly in over five years when we came to Ethan Allen - she remembered our first apartment and the furniture she selected for us down to the fabric. Read moreThe devil is always in the details and apparently she works in the Milford store as well. Alexandra was nice at first, however once she processed my payments, she showed her true colors. I live in Bethesda, Maryland and my mom is in Connecticut. I purchased her a kitchen set, and was shocked when she wanted to order cushions and an extra chair, but this is my mom and I give her what she wants. Well when we paid for the additional items, Alexandra never clarified the timeframe in which the cushions or chair would arrive. My mom calls today, two weeks later, and is told the cushions will arrive in June and the chair in September. When she protests, Alexandra tells her nonchalantly "it is what it is". I called her and she stated she never said this (she was on car speaker phone and my mom's church sister heard the same). I then tell her that had we been informed about the wait, we could have taken out money elsewhere, to which she tells me it's only a month. I am livid because this is not how you treat customers that patronize your business. Advising us after the fact is terrible and grossly unprofessional. I will reach out to management on Monday and demand a full refund and do all in my power to see that Alexandra does not deal with any customers in the future. This is not the way you...
