Mangiare Italian — Restaurant in Milford

I can unfortunately say this is the worst Italian restaurant I've ever been in, even worse than Olive Garden. Upon entering, I was greeted by the bartender who could have immediately passed as a sleazy used car salesman. He informed me of the specials and there must have been about 15 different items that were "specials". Strange, but whatever. So I ordered the Seafood Spaghetti and Fried Mozzarella. The Fried Mozzarella was almost uneatable. It was so doughy I could barely chew it. Then the Seafood Spaghetti comes out. I kid you not, it's about 95% seafood and 5% spaghetti. I was aware of the pricing, but I felt criminally robbed when my bill totaled to be $55. The price absolutely did not reflect the portion or quality of the food. The bartender then took, I kid you not, about 20 minutes with only one other person at the bar to get my bill ready.

Wasn't impressed at all. Started out with no wine menu, barender didn't really know much about the wine. Wine pours weren't great. Husband's dinner came out before mine and I waited about ten minutes after. Ravioli was mediocre and carbonerra was underwhelming. After dinner Sambuca was in a shot glass. When we got the check, was told if we wanted to add a tip on the card, there would be $1 charge to do so. We said that was fine, but then they charged us just for the bill, couldn't put a tip on the card. Only had so much cash on us which didn't cover 20 percent tip. Oh well. Just not a good experience. Cute place. Food was excellent. The menu is pretty small. It's strange they don't serve pizza because there's a giant pizza oven in the back (right next to the bathrooms). The seafood spaghetti took forever to remove all the shells and such. The steak got kinda carried by the gorgonzola. Not enough to remove a star or anything. The music was hooked up to a phone that got calls and ads, and cut out for the second half of our dinner, so - 1 atmosphere. They're brand new so that'll get worked out.
