The management are rude, the rooms are unsanitary, and their quality of care for their guests is lacking in every possible way.
The first employee we dealt with seemed nice, but he lied to us flat out about the parking fees (he said there were none, but that was bull) without any provocation on our part. We were happy to find a hotel to stay at, but now we know why they had availability. Around 9a the following morning, I spoke to a front desk employee about our room charges, I was never told the full amount or how much the hold would be which could've caused overdraft fees as my deposits go to a seperate account, and as we found out the employee also overcharged us by almost double the nightly rate!!
Our room was a nightmare: there were stained blankets and sheets on the beds, there was garbage around or under the trash cans, litter behind the side table and under the desk, and our 3 year old daughter stumbled upon a FULL SIZED COOKIE under the bed side the window faces, where a cleaning person could have seen it had they looked. After that discovery, we looked for any other surprises and found another half a cookie, straw wrappers, candy wrappers, and worst of all, PUBIC HAIR IN THE TOILET PAPER ROLL!!! We didn't find that last one until the middle of the last night we stayed there. After discovery of all those horrific things, we went to talk to the front desk and found the only humane employee in the building. Tyrone, 3rd shift front desk, was genuine, apologetic, and disgusted after hearing, and seeing the photos I took of each offensive item before cleaning it up, immediately wrote an email to the managers to inform them of the situation. He was kind, reassuring, and without provocation informed us that minimally we would receive a free stay voucher or at least a partial reimbursement for our stay. He said to follow up with the day manager to show them the photos and to see what was next. I called down to see if manager was available and after being sent to her voicemail, left a message with our room number requesting a callback, and waited. After an hour of silence, during which our 3 year old fell asleep for her nap (she hadn't slept well our whole stay; she had been down maybe 5 hours the previous night before waking up before dawn and staying up til then), I went down to talk to someone. The AGM that greeted me was less than personable, had her mind set on what she was least inconvenienced to do, and was not hearing anything otherwise. I politely listened to her tell me that it was a unique situation that we had encountered but that the cleaning staff would be thoroughly questioned as to the situation and disciplined accordingly. She then said she would "gift" our rewards account with bonus points but that any further monetary compensation was out of the question and that was the end of it. I then informed her that we would need late check out as my daughter was asleep, and she rolled her eyes while asking for a time. I told her plainly that I wasn't sure, my daughter hasn't slept well our entire stay. She glared at me and asked again with one word, "When?!" At this time I informed her that my 3 year old is Autistic, is accustomed to napping for as long as she needs, and interrupting her leads to shrieks and screaming, akin to someone being murdered, that lasts for hours and would most assuredly upset the other guests. This apparently caught her by surprise as she stammered an "Ok," before regaining her composure and stomping off. My daughter is Autistic with Sensory Disorders, Severe juvenile ADHA & ODD, as well as being nonverbal. I know that waking any toddler with minimal sleep in any situation leads to bad things, let alone one that when stressed or upset or anything she can't express through signing or pictures, SHRIEKS like she's dying. For hours. Even if the AGM had given us a time, if my daughter was still asleep, I will not wake her. That's inconsiderate & inhumane. I will never...

Our white room curtains has a seriously gross something on it and it's right over the AC blower when closed. So had to leave it open tonight. You could see it immediately upon coming into the room. Don't know house keeping didn't notice it day after day. It's foeed or something.
There is mold or mildew on the bottom of the WHITE shower CURTAIN. Can't miss it. Curtain has snaps on it so it's made to be washed. Has not been washed though in a long time.
After showering I walked around the room barefoot to get my phone get pics of the shower curtain. I stood in the wet tub barefoot then and it literally turned black from the bottom of my feet. How can the carpet be that dirty? Another huge turnoff.
The large vanity under the TV was not wiped down. About a 6x6 in area was sticky from some previous spill. Once agiin I have pics to show it.
Amazingly the TV is set to SD. Picture quality on this really nice LG HD TV was terrible and the settings were locked out so I could not set resution. Was super cool though that I could link my Netflix acct though to watch a movie.
Room was comfortable otherwise though. Bed was really nice and comphy. Sheets seemed clean.
Room really needs a bedside table though on the other side of the second bed up towards the windows. I has no where to put my stuff other than a low chair. There is plenty of room tor a table and it's needed.
There is very little space for our luggage and there are no luggage racks.
There is no way this room is worth $250-$350/night. It's not even close to a comperably priced room at room Kohler Lodge which is superior to this room in every way other than the bed itself. Marriott has a really nice bed.
They did not have the tech to allow use of the Marriott app on my phone to unlock the room door. Bummer as I was looking forward to that feature. (again newly renovated... Or Kinda newly renovated}
The pool here is small but nice. Water was cool but not cold Pool towels are seriously too small though. So small it cheapened the experience. Loved that they had speakers and music in the pool area.
Lobby was nice and inviting. Staff super friendly. Bistro looked nice too.
Parking is an extra $25/day which is unreasonable considering room cost. You Can do valet for $30/day as an alternative. Other patrons reviews indicated though it can take upto 45 minutes to get your car back if doing valet so we did regular parking.
Soon there will be a large mall connected to this place and that will be great for everyone.
At end of the day we are totally disappointed with how quickly management allowed a newly renovated room to get so dirty and gross. There clearly are no checks and balances to ensure spotless and clean rooms. No way someone comes in after housekeeping to spot check. No way.
My wife and son and I all agree we would return only if there was one heck of a huge discount.
So unfortunate because cleanliness costs so little and means so much. That said we will go elsewhere next time.
I did love the Marriott experience with booking the room via their 800 number and all the helpful messages, texts and reminders we got from corporate. That was a nice...

First employee I spoke with when booking was very friendly however did not work at the actual hotel I was staying at so did not know much about the property when asked amenities. For the confusion with that and available rooms confusion the caller called the hotel and the hotel said they would give us 2 days comp breakfast (very delicious, not a continental by the way). Marriott would not lower the price of the room (booked through Marriott) when a better deal was found on Expedia within 24 hours of initial booking. Staff stated there is nothing they can do. Well come to find out when calling about this, I spoke with a supervisor and she stated we can get a discount for the room based on employment but still couldn't match the Expedia. Well how come I didn't get this discount when I first booked? At the initial reservation the employee stated that we were not eligible for discounts.
I get my reciept emailed to me and check in time on the email read 4pm. However the initial booking employee told me noon. So I call back AGAIN and they said it was no problem to come at noon.
The last day of the trip we asked about a late checkout and the hotel front desk employee stated she needed the room and could only give us until noon. Well again, I was told check out was later than that when previously talking to an employee on the phone the night prior and I guess it was never entered in the system that I wanted a late check out? Or was it because the front desk employee I was talking to didn't even look up my info - she only stated that she needs the room by noon. After this miscommunication we just left at 11 AM. Upon checkout, the front desk said we were all good to go and I will be emailed a reciept. Well I waited right at the front desk (for some reason I don't trust this) and get the email and see I'm charged for the comp breakfast. I'm glad I didn't walk out when they said everything was good because it wasn't. After some time they take it off and say I'm good to go again. I'm like no - I want to see the reciept cause you just told me I was good and something was wrong. The next reciept looks good so I'm on my way home!
I get home check my credit card and I still have a $60 pending on my credit card ($60 I never used for anything at the hotel nor was I explained what this pending charge is for because it was also NOT on my reciept when checking out). I called and no one knows what it is...
