Paid for the "Comfort Quadruple Room" (their most expensive booking option) as my daughters were excited about the bunk beds, extra space and fireplace. Arrived after a long day of travel. The front desk agent told my wife at check-in that if our kids weren't quiet by 9pm they would charge us an extra $250. She suggested a pharmacy nearby to purchase Nyquil to drug them. (Bad joke I hope?) Got the kids to bed, but many things were wrong with the hotel room. 1. Fireplace was broken. 2. Toilet seat was broken. 3. Apparent water damage in the ceiling, including a drooping bubble above the bed. Extent of that damage wasn't small, probably over 10ft long. 3. The furniture and linens are cheap and uncomfortable, as were the various repairs and general maintenance, but sometimes that's what you get when you are booking on a budget. 4. Ice and Vending machines were inoperable. Exhausted from travel, we just got to bed and when we woke up half of the room was out of electricity, including the bathroom. I checked the outlet fuses, all of them were inoperable, and stuck in position so you can not test or reset. I picked up the phone to call the office, and it was inoperable. I called the office on my cell phone and they did not pick up. I walked into the office in an extremely friendly and understanding way. I wrote down all of my concerns and went over them politely. They were extremely combative and asked me to leave almost immediately. Their solution was to "not penalize" me for leaving early, offering no discount or apology, or solution to any of the issues. At points in speaking with them, they accused me of manufacturing issues, and that if I had reached out the night before the situation would be way different. This is a weak excuse for not taking care of a customer. Upon feeling taken advantage of, put in danger, being disrespected and them demanding I leave within 15 minutes, my little family vacated the premises. On the way out I peeked at their fire extinguishers, of course inspections were extremely out of date. I don't believe we received the fair value of a safe hotel room stay for the price ultimately paid. I was friendly and polite. The fire safety is dubious at best. If the panel or wiring can't handle the light bulbs in the bathroom and the local fuses aren't functional, and fire inspections aren't happening, what is that indicative of to you? Which reason would you not stay here? Bad customer service? Unsafe conditions? Uncomfortable furnishings? Broken accommodations we paid extra for? Broken basic features of a hotel like ice and vending? Pick any one of them and that's your...
Read moreWe had to check out early due to a nearby wildfire (Madre Fire), and were very disappointed by the hotelâs lack of understanding or flexibility.
We booked a 4-night stay (July 1â5) but had to leave a day early (on July 4) for safety reasons. We called the front desk on July 3 to explain the situation and request a refund for the unused night. Staff told us they would check with the owner. When we checked out the next morning, the on-site manager said the fire âwasnât an emergencyâ and refused to refund us. We followed up by phone several times, but never received a call back or resolution.
We only stayed 3 nights and paid for 4 â with zero accountability or customer care. It was disappointing to be treated this way in a situation clearly outside our control.
If youâre looking for a place that values safety and customer service, I would not recommend staying here.
7/22/25: Updated to respond to the hotelâs comment:
After we checked out early due to the nearby Madre Fire, I followed up multiple times asking when someone would call me back about a refund for the unused night. I never received a call or voicemail, despite what the hotel now claims. I double-checked my call logs and voicemail inbox â nothing.
The only reason I filed a credit card dispute was because no one followed up. Itâs disappointing to be told the situation âwasnât an emergencyâ and to now see them deflect responsibility instead of acknowledging the experience.
We paid for 4 nights, stayed for 3, and received no refund â or...
Read moreThis was by far the worst hotel experience Iâve ever had. From the moment I stepped into the room, it was clear that cleanliness and basic hospitality were completely ignored. The bedsheets had clearly not been changed after the previous guestâthere were visible creases, stains, and even hair. Disgusting.
The towels which I initially thought were clean, turned out to be wet, dirty, and had simply been folded back as if no one would notice. The floor was soaking wet and dangerously slippery, making it not only unpleasant but unsafe.
To make matters worse, the heater was unplugged and didnât even work once I tried to plug it inâcompletely broken. I tried calling the front desk multiple times, hoping for some kind of resolution, but no one ever picked up. there was no staff at all.
This was not just a disappointing stayâit was a disastrous one. Please, do yourself a huge favor and book your hotel anywhere else. This place should not be...
