Hiking Red Rocks & exploring Morrison

Multi-level patio sort of. Upstairs, downstairs and a little nook. Fire pits. Two Pool tables off the main bar. The music can be heard everywhere. Bands and other live music can be found here often. Burgers served without fries for those who can benefit from no fries. Dog friendly. The Mill Street is connected to the Holiday bar. The upscale burgers have local historical geological names. I'm having the Hogback with Applewood smoked bacon and diced chilis that may be out of a can?? Counter order, brought to your assigned number. Self service with the bar. Mill Street includes an ice cream shop so you can have a 90 Schilling float. JK Certainly a place to bring out-of-staters for here and the rest of Morrison. Don't know if a concert is happening at Red rocks tonight, probably not or else everything would be different mobs of people everywhere. Sounds like a live band might be doing a sound check. Time to go and get another beer. Ok there is a concert tonight. The acapella group since the Manhattan Transfer that is more versatile, and has a mouth musician, there's got to be a better term, that can do unbelievable percussion and rythyms.

We came to the Holiday Bar (which seems to have good specials) but got for from Mill Street Eats. I got the Look Out Burger ($9.25) with Sweet Potato Fries (additional $2.25). The burger was ok, pretty thin and halfway through I realized it wasn't very warm, so I shined my phone light on it (we were in the dimly lit bar) to see that it was almost completely pink! Given how this it was, the burgers had to have been cooked from frozen and they obviously didn't take their time to make sure they were done. My stomach has been a wreck for 2 days now and I'm wondering if that is why. The fries were nothing to write home about and had a strange seasoning that I wasn't fond of. The ranch was very obviously from a Gordon's or similar food service, so I didn't eat that either. My boyfriend had the Southwest Burger with tots. His burger was a bit pink too, but not near as bad as mine. The tots we're not good at all. They tasted old. We were very disappointed with our meal and will not be back.

My family and I had just finished eating at Mill Street Eats and there is nothing but good things to say. Steve greeted us and made us feel like family the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was very down to earth and the food was AMAZING!!! The gyro burger was fantastic. The lamb was juicy and delicious. The kids loved the wraps, burgers and sweet potatoe fries. They even have an ice cream section with 10 flavors. The shakes are delicious. Hand spun and very creamy. The bar has been around since the early 1900s. There are some great pics on the walls and stories to listen to. The place has a roof top and covered patio seating with heaters. So if its crowded then head upstairs stay warm and enjoy the food. They have a small stage so live entertainment is not far away. Tonight was karaoke 🎤 night and that was fun and silly. So if you are looking for good American food, friendly staff and great location, waste no time stopping off for a burger, beverage, beer and some live music. You will NOT be disappointed.

Thanks,

John Amy and the three kids in the tribe from...

Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday and were really bummed out by our experience. We had high hopes but it started off rough when we were ignored by the person working for 8 minutes when waiting to place our order inside with no one else in there. It appeared they were the only person working, so we graded on a curve, but it also appeared there was only one other order they were working on for someone waiting outside, so just an acknowledgement would have helped. Nonetheless, the burgers came out in about 20 minutes and looked good, but once we got into them, the toasted bun was absolutely charred black. We thought maybe it would be ok, but with the overcooked and over salted patty and then the totally burnt bun taste it was a loss. At that point, it honestly wasn't worth saying anything for a new burger and bothering the one person working, but we couldn't finish what we had and decided this place is missing an opportunity. Great location and it's nice there is outdoor seating, but could use a little...
