We came here after a hike for a bite to eat and a beer. Parking was a little unclear as we thought there was only pay parking, so we parked on the street. We asked someone in the restaurant who told us if we were eating at the restaurant that we could park in the marked spaces in the parking lot on the river side, so we moved our car. The place has a nice atmosphere, just like the rest of the places in Morrison. We chose to sit outside, which was just what we needed. They have a decent beer menu, but as usual, they only had a few options for a non IPA drinker like myself. I believe that I had a peach beer, which was fine. For food, we decided to split a pizza and a sandwich. I felt that the pizza was below average. The dough seemed tasteless and overcooked while the sauce was barely warm. It seemed to me like it was straight out of a jar. It was edible and all, but I wouldn't come here specifically for the pizza. The sandwich we chose was the BLT, which was very good. They did not skimp on the bacon, and the fries were good. The service here was great and we never had to wait long for anything that we needed. One other thing that bothered us a little was that they asked us if we wanted extra sauce with the pizza. Since we didn't know what their pizza was like, we agreed. Since the sauce wasn't really that great, we were surprised that they charged us $2 for the extra sauce. It wasn't that big of a deal, just something anyone might want to be aware of when they go. We would go back here again if we were in the area, but we wouldn't go out of our...
Read more"Inside or out?" was our greeting as we walked in the door. We chose to dine inside and a middle aged man pointed to a table and told us to sit there. I thought this was odd considering the restaurant wasn't too busy for some one to show us to our seats and provide a menu. The decor was mostly wood with barren stucco walls that could have used a fresh coat of paint. After several minutes a nice waitress took our latté order. Those were decent, but mine burnt my tongue and needed more cream and sugar (personal preference). I had the huevos rancheros. I forgot to ask for no green chili, but when the dish came it wasn't submerged in the goop. I was able to taste the individual flavors of the different ingredients and that was a good thing. The food was decent and the service par. In fact I didn't find much of anything extraordinary to review until our waitress asked us to move. It wasn't that the place was full and there were plenty of tables. It just so happened that she had sat a large group of people next to us (on a shared bench seat) and they were expecting more people for the group and might need our seats. I was surprised that we would be asked to move. If the waitress had waited only several minutes the point would have been moot. So overall an average meal with a bad taste at the...
Read moreSorry to say, it was the worst breakfast we have had in a LONG time. To begin, the place was EXTREMELY dirty. Looks like it has not been cleaned in months, not weeks. Sticky tables, dirty bathrooms with mold and disgusting toilets, dark and dirty hand marks on doors and chairs, an inch of dust on the lamps with no bulbs, and dried food on the wood bench we sat on. We counted 5 dead flies in the window. If this is their dining room, what does the kitchen look like? We should have turned tail and ran at that point but we were starving and hoping for good food in spite of the lack of cleanliness. We ordered the 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy, the the country gravy breakfast burrito, and the pork green chili scramble on a tortilla, think they called it a The Snapper. The Snapper was recommended by the waitress. The gravy had good flavor, but weird consistency. I think their gravy broke. We are pretty sure the biscuits were frozen made. The green chili might have been good, but the burnt flavor was overwhelming. The service was happy, but average. When we told her we did not like The Snapper, she just shrugged. No effort to replace or compensate. Very disappointed. Very sad. WILL...
