My hotel review
Makes the Bates Motel look like a luxury resort This place had everything you are looking for if you want to experience nightmares, develop a new germaphobic condition or film a horror movie or crime show The first room they put us in we found a bed with the sheets pulled back and that set the mood for what was about to come. Our final destination was horrific filthy and just plain wrong. At first glance the curtains were decorated with suspicious white bodily fluids. The bathroom door had been kicked in at sometime. It stuck and after pulling on it came apart in three pieces. There were giant gaping holes around the shower curtain rods, door knob and shower head. The toilet sat at a 45 degree angle and the floor was filthy. There was a hole in one of the headboards where someone had pulled out one of the four janky lights that had been added to illuminate the entire bed. Pulling back the sheets we discovered a mattress pad covered in bodily fluids from top to bottom. Instead of throwing out the mattress pad it was covered with another mattress pad to hide the smell of whatever happened inside that room and on that bed. There was food stuffed in the air conditioning unit and a decorative toilet plunger located next to it. Episodes of CSI and Criminal Minds were racing through my head. Flashes of the room illuminated with a black light were causing me feel the urge to bathe my entire body hand sanitizer. We were exhausted from traveling over 400 miles on our motorcycles and had no idea where else to stay. We would have carried our motorcycles down the road and stayed anywhere but there but unfortunately we didn’t. Point of reference, we are from Detroit and have seen things. The morning didn’t disappoint. I observed a police officer attempting to serve papers at the business next door with the assistance of 3 backup units. Crime shows were scrambling around in my overactive imagination. Cops, 48 hours, Dateline, Criminal Minds and NCIS (every location) to name a few. Adding a sprinkle on this nightmarish cupcake of vacation hell, a fire truck and ambulance showed up in the long term stay building next to us. A vehicle had been circling the parking lot and scooted out across the street to hide behind the gas station until the coast was clear If you are looking for a location to film a horror movie, crime drama or provide aversion therapy to a germaphobe this is your location. Don’t get me started on the toilet paper, towels or front desk clerk I witnessed go into an occupied room and come out 30 minutes later looking...
Read moreThis place literally is dangerously gross. Do not and I repeat do NOT stay here. There's no true cleaning protocol, regulation... holes in walls, body sized blood stain on mattress, (?wth), drug residue left in room...If this is what they don't mind you seeing, imagine what else is happening. The floors are broken, I don't know how else to explain that. Broken. Coming apart. Falling hazard. Disgusting. I come from a very high standardized atmosphere of housekeeping, detail cleaning, etc, and there's no doubt in my mind this place needs completely stripped and refinished in every single way. Understaffed no doubt because of how dangerous it is . For instance, if a traveler were to be, say, recovering from surgery ... the infection risk is over a hundred percent. I'm not joking this place would KILL them with germs, infection
..... Do not not stay or work here...you'll actually be in danger. I worked here for 5 hours on June 3, 2024, before finally giving up and walking out. When I asked for a toilet brush, I was told, "There is rags in that bucket there..." When I asked for gloves, I received a blank stare. No one home, no clue that the concept of gloves to clean up after human beings was most definitely a must to have on the table... I returned on the 18th to collect my earnings for that day, and was met first by who I assume to be an owner with refusal to pay because "I had not given a notice". For walking out on my first day after no longer being able to stomach the filth. I thought that was comical, but not as much so as the front desk clerk chiming in to defend this nonsense with the most shrill, unintelligible string of uneducated sentence structuring I've ever heard, and I was born and raised in Appalachia...🤷♀️ let that sink in. This is the free reign these employees have, to scream at people, literally. And to clean with a broom, basically, and a sad collection of busted spray bottles at various levels of decomposition. They did immediately change their minds about paying when I said I would call the police and...
Read moreHORRIBLE!!! Ruined my family reunion!! Find somewhere else, not the motel 6 next door, same owners. To start with, I have a family reunion every other year. I stayed here 2 yrs ago everything was great, so I tell the rest of the out of towners to stay here. We book 9 rooms in total. I booked my room 6 months prior to the reunion. Im arriving couple days before the rest of the family. Durung the drive from Michigan I'm receiving calls and messages from family that pool is closed. Had many plans for pool parties and meeting up at pool at the end of the day. So before I even get there I have family backing out, because of the pool. A message from days inn would have been nice. It's still listed that they have a pool, but lady at desk said it's permanently closed. It was to late to find another room, 4th of July weekend, so were pretty much stuck with this mess. When I arrive, the sign says "under new management" and let me tell you, it was like a totally different hotel. My room was dirty, burn holes in sheets, bathroom dirty, floor was bad, had to keep shoes on, ruined socks. Coffee pot in room was scary. As the family members start to arrive so does the humiliation, for suggesting this dump. My sister calls and says her room has roaches, three rooms later, she got an ok room, that still didnt have a working fridge, and that was just the first family member to arrive. I went through each room with family as they arrived. A cousins room smelled bad of urine, after looking around, we found the mattress was soaked with it. 3 of the rooms we settled for had broken fridges. Some rooms had old tube TVs instead of flat screen. Most had lights that didnt work. Many rooms we looked at had roaches. I looked like an idiot!! Sad thing is, it was a busy holiday weekend and alot of other people ended up with those nasty rooms. Dont a waste your time, or money on...
