Disappointing Dish at a Premium Price
The chicken teriyaki bowl at Tracks in Telluride is a prime example of overpriced mediocrity. From the moment it was placed in front of me, I knew I was in for a letdown.
Uninspired Presentation
The bowl looked like it had been plucked straight from the freezer section of Costco. There was nothing artisanal or freshly prepared about its appearance. The components were haphazardly thrown together, lacking any semblance of care or culinary craftsmanship.
Subpar Quality
The chicken was dry and rubbery, reminiscent of mass-produced, pre-cooked poultry. The teriyaki sauce was overly sweet and lacked depth, tasting more like a generic bottled variety than anything homemade. The vegetables were limp and flavorless, as if they had been sitting in a steam tray for hours.
Poor Value for Money
At its inflated price point, this dish is nothing short of highway robbery. For what you pay, you'd expect fresh, high-quality ingredients and skillful preparation. Instead, you get a meal that's barely a step above a TV dinner.
In a town known for its culinary offerings, Tracks' chicken teriyaki bowl stands out for all the wrong reasons. Save your money and your taste buds – you'd be better off grabbing a frozen meal from the local grocery store and heating it...

I go out to get a crêpe from the crêperie for the table to eat because the food there was super spicy and bad. After I get this amazing chocolate and raspberry Crêpe which was way better than the food at tracks.I bring the crêpe into tracks so we would not starve to death because the food at this place sucked. This guy comes over and says “I’m sorry but no crêpes on tracks property” then we tried to explain that we had eaten here and spent over $60 but then he said “ I know you guys ate here” as he was pointing to my mom and my sister. He did not however point to me because at that point I was eating part of the crêpe so he kicked us out for eating a crêpe that tasted way better than the food they serve.I will never come here again and I hope you guys take this...

The setup is a mess for a restaurant. You stand in one line to order food, then another line to order from the bar. After that, you’re left to hunt for a table and hope you can find a spot before your food gets cold. It feels like a gamble, not a dining experience.
On top of that, why can’t I order both food and drinks from the same person? Instead, it’s double the waiting and double the hassle.
And then, just to add insult to inconvenience, they prompt you for a tip while ordering. A tip…for what exactly? Handing me my food? Making me stand in line twice? Finding my own table?
We decided to skip the chaos and went to Tomboy Tavern instead. I’d recommend the reader...
