First impression is a lasting impression; & we will not stay here ever again. Too many wrong things to put in this post, but will put down as many as I can. The night we checked in the recycle garbage had not been emptied, maybe 1 times use of toilet paper for 3 people, for a week, toilet seat almost completely off the toilet, went to front desk they sent a very nice man to fix the toilet & give us toilet paper, found the rest of these things out during our week long stay, table leg ready to fall off, food in sink drain blocking the water from running, food in & on top of a kitchen drawer, when I opened the drawer it fell out of the cabinet, it had a large glass bowl with glass lid, I caught it before it fell to floor, which would have broke both parts, hardly any paper towels, tray by coffee maker was absolutely filthy & sticky underneath it, garbage can under kitchen sink was filthy, garbage bag was really a bag that would fit the bathroom garbage can, unfortunately I had to use my large plastic bags I carry in case of emergencies, shower had soapy residue, still mooshy, on all the ledges, bathroom garbage can filthy & almost busted in half, kitchen & bathroom floors had hair on them & was absolutely filthy, carpet was in great need of being shampooed, our feet looked like we had walked in black dirt, little worms with lots of legs came out at night, underneath the tray in bathroom on sink was so soapy & dirty it was stuck to the counter, 4 Kleenex in bathroom Kleenex holder gor 3 people staying a week, couch was like sitting on bare wood & our 24 yr. old granddaughter had to sleep on it, a piece of tape was left in window sill that had human or dog hairs stuck all over it, dust was SO thick on cabinet tops & lamps, obviously not dusted in a long time, had to go to front desk to get hotplate/stovetop I knew nothing about how to use, got it & cooking pan out of bag, they had to be cleaned before they could be used, then I had no idea how to use it, called up front for someone to come show me how to use it, at 9:20 pm, still no one was there, had to order pizza, next day took them back & got another one, did not get good instructions how to use it, found out on my own, but it was even dirtier than the 1st one I had, breakfast was a real experience, if you wanted a half decent meal, went to adjacent TRU by HILTON building to get scrambled eggs, & sausage, then back to HOME 2 where we were staying to get biscuits & gravy, & some times the gravy was completely cold, the only friendly people in the building was in the food areas, (other than 2 of the black men workers I dealt with, which was extremely nice), every time we left the room & came back in, it smelled like animal urine & we had to turn the air conditioner so cold to tone the smell down, since we were in & out the entire week I did not ask for any room service, (which I probably would not have gotten any way), so I went to the Lobby a couple different times to get coffee, (which was suppose to be there 24/7 according to Website), there was no regular coffee, hot water or decaf coffee, but what was I expecting, at times we could not even walk in the hallway because of the dogs being taken out by their owners on a leash of course, but the dogs were not friendly at all, was barking & lunging at us, so to stop at this point, even though I could add more, to top it off, don't go to the front counter expecting to be taken care of at any given time. Sometimes lessons are hard things to go through but good lessons for the future! These are just a few of the pictures. Wish I could have...

Overall a nice stay @ Home2 Suites. There were a couple of issues with this property - but 1st the positive.

My 1st stay @ a Home2 Suites. This is a new property and the trainers from corporate had done a magnificent job. Staff was extremely accommodating and virtually everyone looked you in the eye and spoke - and they all said nice things.

This property is connected to a Tru by Hilton. This was a plus for me. The properties have seperate entrances but share the elevator system, laundry & fitness room. I was not familiar with Tru so this was a nice introduction. Might give it a try next time. You are welcome to take your free breakfast at either property and hang out where you want.

The rooms @ Home2 are very well thought out. Plenty of room for all your stuff, especially if you have to work and include in-suite kitchens. Very comfortable bed with nice soft sheets!

Now the not so good. I am a Hilton Honors member. I checked in 24 hours in advance with their app and choose a room. But when I arrived at the appointed time, my room was not ready. However, another room was quickly made available. But what’s the point of advance check in Hilton?

The room itself had a couple of issues. The window shade chain was broken - an easy fix with a link or a new chain. Also a large carpet stain - again an easy fix. Housekeeping needs to step up their game. Should be pointed out that Staff texted me several times during the stay to make sure everything was OK. But I didn’t feel like dealing with problems that should have been taken care of before my arrival. So 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise a very good...

I rarely ever rate something very low but this deserves it. This Home 2 Suites is connected to a Tru Home hotel; meaning the lobby for Home 2 suites is unstaffed and you need to walk to the other hotel for assistance. |There are signs up stating the Home 2 Suites is in process of a face lift; they need much more than a face lift here. They need an attitude adjustment and a stick of dynamite. |We use digital keys on our phones. When we arrived we walked around the hotel to find our key didn’t work at the pool. We went to the hotel lobby at the Tru Home to find assistance, only to be told it’s glitchy and they couldn’t help us. Another staff member mumbled something about our dog pooping on the way into the hotel and said she needed to do that out back…while we were picking up the poop. Then told us we could not use the trash can and had to bring it out back….so kind and helpful. Yep, sarcasm there! |Next our room….dirty, smelly and uncomfortable. The smell of musty dirty dog hit us when opening the door. The kitchen sink is dented multiple places. The floor in the bathroom corners look like someone has missed cleaning them in the last decade at least. Plus, the door only opened part way because it gets stuck on the tile. The sofa was stained and made an awful noise when someone would sit down. Plus, the beds were hard as rocks yet lumpy at the same time. The pillows are flat and smelled odd. Thank goodness we brought our own. |We only stayed one night and will not be back to this...
