I am still in the parking lot after returning a new pair of earrings and a necklace. Nothing special and a little overpriced for what they are in comparison to deals one can get elsewhere! To start I purchased on a credit card. Normally a return would go back onto that credit card. I had a nearby appointment when saw store and stopped in. I made a purchase of used boots which I knew I would keep. The jewelry I was unsure if I would like with an outfit. I could have already returned within the 7 days, if I had known it would be a cash return instead of a store credit. I had another appointment since but didn’t think it was that big of a deal to wait until I had more time. I didn’t even know the receipt was in the bag until right before returning which they said would have the return policy on it. I had thought it weird I didn’t get a receipt but I signed up for a rewards program while there so thought maybe it was connected. So I go in to return the jewelry and the lady said it would have to go on a gift card because it had been 7 days. I questioned as to why. I said it was tacky since it was on a card that I thought it would just go back on the card. She kept saying they were so glad they could give people back their money within 7 days. I was wondering what in the world she was talking about. I’ve never been to a store with this policy. I hadn’t shop at store since at old location and didn’t even know it was here. I had never returned anything at old location either. This was a new purchase not a used or consignment purchase. They never told me of this policy or that my receipt was in the bag. The young girls were nice who checked me out. The main one that checked me out was here again. She admitted that she failed to mention my receipt in bag. Not that big of a deal but I prefer mine handed to me. Still okay. The real issue is the rude older lady who was talking about me while I was still in the store shopping!!!!!! I am in customer service and have been for years!!! You do not talk about customers or co-workers or your employer where customers can hear!!! How rude!! I was irritated but had planned to shop after returning the two items. She had asked for my receipt for the boots I purchased which was double the cost of the jewelry. No problem. I haven’t worn them yet but think they’re ok. Hope so. Just rude! Rude! Rude! No matter how it annoyed I was by the policy or my lack of knowledge of their 7 day rule. The big issue is the rude older lady and her talking about me to the young lady who was nice explaining that the best thing to do is to get them out of the store! I heard everything she said. So I walked past them and commented that I heard her and would be leaving now! So what am I supposed to do with this store credit? Hardly any xs dresses or tops and none of the white dress shoes I was looking for. I’m wondering if I have 7 days to use my store credit? Plus when to return without...
Read moreI recently had a disappointing encounter at this store. I visited to either exchange or return a pair of Hoka One shoes that I had worn for just one day. Upon wearing them today, I noticed that the shoes were in terrible condition. The quality was subpar, and they appeared to be two different shoes altogether, lacking the typical Hoka appearance. After some investigation and comparing them to my other Hokas, I realized they might not be authentic. Moreover, the left shoe was held together with super glue and was already coming apart. In hindsight, I should have inspected them more closely at the time of purchase, but I assumed that the store sold quality products. What frustrated me the most was the way the store manager handled my concerns. She was dismissive and implied that I should have known better considering the low price of $29, suggesting they were only suitable for "yard work." When I inquired about a resolution, she lectured me on what to look for in shoes next time and mentioned that Hoka shoes typically retail there for $89. She never offered a refund or exchange until I was leaving halfway out the door, after me hearing her say to other employees, “I was gonna give her money back.” By then, I no longer wanted a refund due to the unpleasant experience. While I accept the situation, I caution others to be vigilant when shopping there and to thoroughly inspect purchases for quality, ensuring nothing is held together with super glue or if they are authentic at all. They lost a...
Read moreWarning long review! I never ever do this but, I can’t ignore this incident.
When my family and I were done having dinner @Metro Diner, we decided to stop by Marti and Liz’s. We use to frequent this store until we moved. It was 8:30pm there were also 2 other people that walked in right before us. As soon as we stepped inside the cashier at the front of the store gave everyone a nasty glare. I noticed she was counting money (which is tacky to do in front of customers.) I’m assuming she was in the process of closing the register down early. We knew what time they closed and we were fully prepared to be out of there before that time. Within several minutes they shut the music off, ok no biggie. Then they proceeded to turn majority of the lights off. The other two customers left at this point. Myself, husband, and our 3 children all had picked out a pair of shoes. It was now five minutes until they closed and we were heading up to the register. THEY THEN TURNED OFF EVERY. SINGLE.LIGHT. We ended up putting the shoes back and leaving. We will never come back! I refuse to support a business that thinks it’s ok to “bully” customers into not coming in 30 minutes before they close. Y’all are in a strip mall with vacant shop spaces. Good luck staying in business with your current employees not caring about sales. Oh well, they were overpriced anyways. We will be eating at Metro Diner again though. Their service and food were both...
