Mattress Firm Nampa Marketplace — Hotel in Nampa

We went into this store today (Memorial Day) and Justin who was the only employee in the store walked up to us and offered his assistance. We told him the brand and model we were wanting and he said we don’t carry that in store that’s only online. We asked why and he said “we only carry good products in our showroom”! We asked then why do you sell them on your site? He said “because they aren’t comfortable and once people lay on the more expensive models they tend to lean towards those”. That was an immediate turnoff for us however we continued to browse to get an idea of what was going to meet our needs. He kept trying to push the $2500 + models and said not to purchase anything on their website as it’s not reliable and the deals they offer online don’t work half the time. After telling him we wanted to hold off for now to see if we can sell our current Sleep Number bed which is only 4 years old he laughed and said “good luck you’ll get nothing for it”! We couldn’t believe this guys rudeness. After that final remark we told him we are looking elsewhere and he said “we have the best prices so you will be paying more somewhere else guaranteed.” I don’t know if this guy was having a bad day or if he was mad he had to work Memorial Day but we will be purchasing elsewhere! We spent the day looking at beds in other stores getting what information we could to make a decision for a long term purchase. After an hour at one stop we decided to go to MattressRx. Walking in we noticed a few of the same beds as the previous stores. Knowing what we wanted we made the way to “our” section. After laying on two beds Andrew came over to greet us. He asked questions about our sleep styles, body aches or pains, and price points. We literally spent a minimum of 2 hours here and Andrew was right there with us most of the time answering all of our questions and patiently showing us different styles of mattresses. He has loads of knowledge about beds and sleeping styles. Long story short, we ended up getting a bed and bases that fit both of our sleeping needs. Without the help of great customer service we probably would’ve settled for something of less quality and would be again looking for something else in a years. We got so much more than what we came in for, we only came into look and ended up buying a new mattress. Our first mattress that we bought together, having to make sure it was right. Step by step Thaddeous was there talking with us having us try out different mattresses and different positions to insure we found our right fit.
