I am loathe to give any Mediterranean restaurant a low review, lest we lose another, but like it's nearby neighbor, In-N-Out, it is a long wait at a high price for o.k. food. The place was nearly freezing from the air conditioning, they were terribly understaffed, and the food, while good, was not worth the wait or cost, with the exception of the fries, those were the best 99 cent upgrade I have experienced. The gyros were good, not unlike the ones you might have at the fair or anywhere else. The humus was tasty and has spicy options if that is your thing. The babaganoush was runny and stringy, but o.k. Flalafel was average, but the dolma was exceptional and chilled. The pitas are nice and fluffy, but the tzatziki was the most bland and solid I have ever experienced. I might go there again, but Mediterranean at my home is better. If you don't have the ability to make at home, this is still a good option and we need some variety in our restaurants, so I hope they turn down the thermostat, hire more help, and work on...
Read moreDisappointing Experience Both Times
I really wanted to like Zullee, but after giving it two tries, I have to say I left disappointed both times. The biggest issue right off the bat was the service, the staff didn’t seem welcoming or friendly on either visit, which set a poor tone for the experience.
As for the food, I tried the Chicken Kabob Sandwich and the Chicken Souvlaki Sandwich. Unfortunately, both were underwhelming. The pita bread was falling apart and seemed far from fresh, making it hard to enjoy the sandwiches.
The biggest letdown, though, was the tzatziki sauce. It lacked the essential flavors that make tzatziki so good,no cucumber, no garlic just a bland mix that tasted mostly like Greek yogurt with some dill and lemon. As someone who really loves a good tzatziki, that was especially disappointing.
I had hoped the first visit was just an off day, but the second time confirmed that this place consistently...
Read moreThis was my first time at this place. Was looking for something new and fresh. Saw Zullee and pulled in. First impression was a beautiful clean space with great decor and an easy and sharp looking menu board. The front staff was great in answering my questions and had a great attitude! I ended up ordering a lamb meat with gyro meat as well schwarma and when I tell you the meat was so delicious and tender and seasoned well. The sauce was so refreshing and not overpowering and the schwarma bread itself was very warm and fresh tasting! I am super excited about this place and can’t wait to go back and check out more options! Everything I saw coming out looked very fresh and delicious! Wonderful spot to have I Nampa amongst all the greasy heavy options everywhere! Thank you Zullee and staff!! I will...
