The sandwiches were decent, nothing to write home about but they did the job...the coffee and customer service on the other hand need some work. The gal gave me a hot Americano instead of the iced Americano I ordered. She recognized the mistake and offered to pour it over ice. I informed her that is not how an iced Americano is made. She then tried to explain that it is the same thing and proceeded to inform me how they make an iced Americano. I declined. Evidently I will not be getting what I was hoping for or paid for.

I offered to just take the hot Americano as is. She apologized and was kind. Driving away, I took a sip of the coffee and it had a foul taste to it, unfiltered water maybe, IDK...

As a company that pushes coffee and a membership rewards type program, you would hope they knew that simply pouring a hot Americano over ice to correct the mistake they made is not the same as a fresh iced Americano.

I then decided to look for my receipt in the bag but I didn't have one nor was I offered one.

I called the store to inform the manager and she told me she would gladly remake the coffee. Seeing as I was already gone, I declined and she said there was nothing she can do over the phone. That seems ridiculous considering the tech world we live in. But instead of arguing I let her know I would contact corporate and inform them of my experience: the lack of receipt, wrong order, and the lack of knowledge of making a coffee properly and rough customer service with no care for the customer's satisfaction.

They had my money, oh well...

My wife and I haven't been to Panera in a little while and I believe their menu has been updated since our last visit. We both got the "Pick 2", me with the Smokehouse BBQ Chicken Sandwich and the Broccoli Cheddar Mac & Cheese, and my wife got the Toasted Frontega Chicken Sandwich with an Asian Sesame Salad.

While the food was good it did not knock my sox off. My sandwich was very bread-heavy, overpowering most of the other flavors of the BBQ Chicken Sandwich. The Broccoli Cheddar Mac & Cheese was good and reminded me of a thick based cheddar broccoli soup with noodles in it. My wife's selection was much really good. We can only assume though that when the Asian Sesame Salad is ordered as a side that it does not include chicken (as the menu indicates), or at least hers did not.

Overall the food was good enough for 3.5 or 4 stars, while I reserve 5 stars for an experience that leaves the pallet wanting for more or an ambiance that leaves me inspired. While it is somewhere between fine dining and take out, expect to pay a little more than for a fast food, grab-and-go. Portion sizes were decent - I left sated, but not overly full, but my wife also shared a few bites of her sandwich and salad...

I visit every day, and I've noticed a decline in service quality since the recent hiring of new staff. Coffee is supposed to be refilled every hour (or at most, every two hours), yet here I am at 7:38 PM, facing a cup of coffee that is ice cold and likely hasn't been brewed since 2 PM or earlier. This has become a common occurrence during the evening hours, and it seems the cashiers and dishwasher (the two positions responsible for rebrewing coffee) on the night shift don't know how to do their job correctly, or simply are too lazy to care.

Additionally, when I approached the pickup window, my coffee cup was supposed to be ready to be picked up, but it was not there. The new employee at the window simply glanced at me before returning her attention to her phone, failing to acknowledge my presence or say a word. I have never felt so blatantly ignored or disrespected as a customer in all the years I've been coming here.

While I understand that the younger generation has terrible customer service skills and may not care about anything other than what's happening on TikTok, a company should not tolerate such behavior. This level of service is...
