I don’t know how they handle regular AT&T customers and this review is solely for FIRSTNET customers, so take that for what it’s worth.
That said, getting the initial account set up through this store was a nightmare. Long story short, FIRSTNET had to completely redo the setup about 4 months after the initial setup and come to find out, we didn’t have to pay upfront for our phones (like the promotion had said, but this store had said otherwise That was about a year ago.
Fast forward to yesterday and we try to add another line. Should be simple enough one would think especially when I have the phone and promotion pulled up on my current phone.
The sales lady is very nice, grabs the new phone from the back (unfortunately they didn’t have the 64gb version so we had to go with a 128gb which was more, but that was ok) then the manager came out and said he wasn’t sure if they could honor the promotion and stating that sometimes there are only “online promotions”.
So we finally got things figured out or so we thought. We bought the phone, they had the FIRSTNET SIM card and we were told we had to wait until it “processed” the order. They said that I could check my order at any time and when it was ready, they’d let me know.
Seriously?! The phone was in their hand. If I had ordered the phone online (which I have now done) I could have thrown the SIM card in myself and have been good.
My wife tried to cancel the original order and they won’t do it. Heck, even on the online “check your order status” I don’t have that option on the first order (I do on the second one that is being mailed to me though).
What’s more frustrating is that my wife went to the next nearest AT&T store and they flat out refused to help her because she wasn’t me. Our account isn’t a personal one, it’s a business one that she has 100% access to through both AT&T and FIRSTNET. I know this for a fact because she spent 3 hours on the phone with FIRSTNET’s support today.
Which by the way is what the original AT&T store (the store I’m reviewing) said when we set the account up and now attempting the new line is the problem. Meanwhile FIRSTNET is up in arms asking why is this store making things so difficult and why are they doing things incorrectly.
So if you’re a First Responder who is looking at starting a FIRSTNET account, steer clear of this store.
I would recommend contacting FIRSTNET themselves and possibly dealing with a...

We visited this AT&T store to switch from our previous service providers and had a terrible experience. We were lied to and essentially stolen from despite them apparently valuing FirstNet customers.
Alejandro was the sales person assigned to us and he automatically added the phone insurance and next up upgrade features (extra $27 per line per month) without asking us. I caught it, and specifically asked him to remove it. He said he did, so we left the store happy with our new phones.
The next day, we checked the bill and see that the next up feature and phone insurance were added, adding $54 to our bill. I was so disappointed to see this because we were clear in communicating we did not want those things.
I scheduled an appointment at 10:30 the following day to speak to a manager regarding the bill. I arrived on time and was not greeted and had to wait 20 minutes. The manager, Sosa, eventually made his way to the floor and told me to wait longer. I insisted I needed to speak with him and voiced my concerns about the unethical practices by his salesperson. His response was “what do you want me to do, credit you $100?” I said no, all I wanted was what I asked for, specifically not adding the next up and phone insurance. I felt lied to, stolen from etc all for the sales person to make their commission.
After a long conversation he agreed to remove the charges and speak to Alejandro. So later that month we receive the bill…. which still included the phone insurance and next up plan. Even the manager couldn’t follow through on his word.
They acted like they cared about us as new FirstNet customers but lied and took advantage of us anyways!! Don’t trust anything they tell you and definitely ask for printed receipts and quotes before agreeing...
