Nightmare parking. $25.00 per night self parking fee. Very clean 11 story high security hotel. The parking deck is designed to keep trespassers out and looked well secured. There is mandatory use of room key cards to access anything in the building including the elevators which limits the mobility of a trespasser if they get inside. If you are a solo female traveler you will appreciate the extra measures to keep you safe. I felt secure in the area. My 11th floor suite was spotless. It had a beautiful view of the city with 3 very large floor to ceiling windows. I loved the abundance of natural light and enjoyed the city lights at night. The beds were OK, (I'm fickle). I am a heavy set 6' tall man with back pain and I was able to sleep on the mattress. I would describe the bed as just slightly to the firmer side of neutral. The bath water was satisfyingly hot. Very restrictive water flow reducers made hot showers annoyingly slow. My room had a tub, nice linens and no odors at all. That and the windows were the most impressive part of the room, there were no masking fragrances or funky smells, it was just clean. I will be coming back. My room was quiet and it was on the side of the hotel that faced the Titans football stadium. The other side of the hotel is jammed up against I-24 and the traffic noise is really bad. Like really, really bad. That section of I-24 has very coarse pavement and the tire roar in the parking deck is deafening. Maybe LaQuinta could chip in and help to get it repaved.
Service was outstanding. Everyone was kind, professional and gentle.
My expectations for breakfast were rather low but I was pleasantly surprised. The spread was pretty impressive. I loved it. It tied with my favorite Hampton Inn location in Bremen Georgia for the best hotel breakfast in the south. It might have even been better than theirs.
The people that showed up with pets were responsible pet owners and I had no issues at all. I never detected any pet odors anywhere in the facility.
PART 2. PARKING. This hotel is perched on a tiny strip of land that butts up against I-24 on one side and with the Titans football stadium on the other side. They chose to overbuild on the site, utilizing every last square foot of available real estate for the inside of the hotel. When your car pulls in off the street you are instantly inside and parked in a tiny staging area that only accommodates 2 large vehicles at a time. If you arrive at a peak check-in time then you will be blocking the street waiting to get in. As an exhausted solo traveler who was unfamiliar with a newer La Quinta Inn I found the parking and check in process to be a bit too much. After sitting there for a while with half of my car inside the hotel grounds and the other half of my car outside of their property and blocking the street someone directed me to go around the two cars in line. That in itself involved a long list of directions on how to navigate the parking deck, where to park and then how to get to the lobby for check in from the parking deck. This is a high security hotel and you can't use the elevator without your room key which is both comforting and irritating. Anyway, even though they directed my car around the line I could not get into the parking deck because a full sized Ford pickup truck had gotten stuck and was blocking the entrance and the exit. He was trying to get out without scraping up his truck. It took him quite a while to get free. The entrance and exit to the deck is seriously undersized. I drove my car up to the third level and made multiple mistakes due to poor signage. Most of the parking spots were a bit too small for my comfort level and I re-parked my car 3 times. The deck is a very compressed and tight area and made me rather edgy. If you drive a larger model full sized truck then I would call the hotel to make sure they can accommodate your truck in a way you are...

Room 823 at La Quinta Inn on Interstate next to Nissan Stadium has bedbugs.
My wife and I planned a trip to Nashville to see a concert, didn't want to drive back 3 hours in the dead of night, booked a hotel. Decent pricing for Nashville, and just a short drive away from the venue we went to.
Check in was super easy, and the front desk was super nice.
We get in our room about 2:30pm, we relax for a bit before heading to our show at 4. We come back at 11:15ish? We take our showers, and as I was rolling over to turn off the lamp, I see a bug crawl across the backboard of the bed set.
I didn't have my glasses on, but I went and grabbed a Kleenex, snagged the bug, and sure enough, it's a flat red bedbug (pics included)
After getting up and moving around, smaller bugs and larger ones crawl all over the headboard and the pillows we were on.
Hotel staff, lovely as anyone I could imagine, got security up to our room and took video. His name was David, and the security company he works for is hired out by La Quinta from what he told us.
After he confirmed, we all went down to the front desk and they moved us to a different floor, and gave us bags to put our stuff in.
The front desk said that she took off parking, but was unable to give me an answer about anything else as it would have to be a managers decision, which I totally understand. I will be down in the lobby tomorrow morning to talk to them.
We are now in our new room, confirmed there were no bedbugs on this bed, and I see that I've already got some spots popping up from where my arm was under the pillow (pics included).
A few bags of ours were on the bed when we left our room this afternoon, and I really hope we don't have to toss them.
Again, we will get with the manager in the morning, we are just super upset we'll have to deal with this for a few days to make sure our house doesn't become contaminated.
Update 1: just spoke with the manager, David, super nice and explained that Orkin will come out and tear the room down to find everything and get that sorted out.
He said that once Orkin is finished, then we'd move forward with what they can do for us.
Update 2: Manager David called me at 1:11pm CST while I was on the way home from Nashville at , and he said that Orkin still hadn't arrived, but he was going to work with Booking.com, where I had reserved the room from, to get a refund started.
Got home safely, just put everything we could in the washer with vinegar to hopefully help kill anything that hit head a ride. I will probably have to toss my backpack and my wife's toat bag as they were both on the bed when we were out of the room.
Update 3: Last update. David Arts was able to get ahold of Booking.com and started our refund for our hotel room, and I already see it on my account. Thank you again for working hard to get that...
Read moreWas told that our room could be downgraded at check-in depending on availability. When we checked in we brought this up and were asked if we booked third party, we said yes. Availability was not checked we were just immediately told no. We got into our room and were met with a musty smell, dirty and dusty surfaces, dirty carpet, things splattered on baseboards, moldy slats on the AC, and an out of order phone. We called to let the front desk know, and were placed on hold for about 10 minutes. We were told that someone would come up to inspect the room. A few minutes later someone from house keeping came up and asked what was wrong with the room, while we were in the middle of showing him what was wrong he cuts us off and says "That's glue on the table, that probably won't come off. Well we got you another room", and did not let us finish, therefore we did not even get to tell him about the moldy AC in the room. We're taken to our new room down the hall, given about 15 seconds to walk through the door and are immediately asked "How does this one look" we had to hurriedly look around the room to give him the okay. The employee goes into the bathroom and walks around before leaving, apologizes for the last room and leaves. About 30 mins later one of us goes into the bathroom and sees the shower floor has quite a bit of soap scum on the textured floor. We call to let the front desk know and they send the same employee to clean the shower floor. He came with a rag and some cleaner and scrubbed for about 10 minutes before asking us to look at the shower, that looked the same as it did before. He then explained to us "That's concrete from behind the tile, it's all not going to come off because they got it on the floor. I scraped some of it off". I thanked him for coming to clean the shower and let him leave. We would have been less upset if any actual accountability had been taken for: not checking availability when we asked to down grade and weren't given the run around for why the rooms were dirty and told "that's glue" or "that's concrete" when it was clearly just dirt in both cases. Instead it felt like we were given the run around both times because we were 2 young women.
On top of that the fire alarm went off twice our first night and when we reached the stair well, it smelled like cigarette smoke. Our first morning, we were woken twice by housekeeping knocking, even though we had put the do not disturb tag on the door the night before. It was a very disappointing stay at this hotel. One thing would have been excusable but all of these things together were too much...
