Checked in to the Radisson Hotel Nashville Airport on Friday, March 15 after dinner where I was greeted by an extremely pleasant young man who made the check in process very smooth. He brought up the option to park there and be shuttled over to the airport in the morning. I said I would think about it and a couple hours later came back down to the front desk to find a new individual with a Caribbean accent and long dangly cross earring working the front desk who immediately treated me like a burden. I said that we were interested in keeping our vehicle there at the property while gone on vacation, paid the amount for 4 days and then he acted like he filled out a sheet with our name and departure time. He was extremely rude and short the entire time. Came downstairs the next morning to leave at 5:15 AM and the gentlemen at the front desk and the driver of the shuttle said they had no notice or anything written down by the rude desk worker from the night before. Regardless, we got to the airport on time and hoped it was all behind us. Boy were we wrong. ||We got back from our international trip Wednesday night around 10:15 PM. I called the front desk as instructed to let them know we would be getting our bags shortly and looking for the shuttle back to the hotel. It was the same desk worker and he decided to yell at me this time and repeatedly tell me the shuttle would be coming to Meeting Spot 2. We got our bags and went out where there was no shuttle waiting. I called back to the front desk at 10:40 where the desk worker put me on hold and never got back on the line. I called back from my wife’s phone and he answered once again rudely and stated that the shuttle must have gotten stuck in the traffic. 11 PM comes around and I called back and he rudely stated that it was definitely coming. 11:15 PM, no shuttle, I have to get a Lyft for $30 back to the hotel. I confirmed that the shuttle was sitting in a parking spot in the back of the building not turned or having started in some time. I go inside the hotel, ask him to write down his name and confirmed that he never sent the shuttle. He smiled very proudly obviously knowing what he had done and couldn’t care less. ||Note: I had my wife, 10 year old son and 3 year old daughter traveling with me exhausted from traveling all day and still had a 3 hour drive home. Also, this does not even cover the fact that our room air would never get below 73 as we weren’t going to even attempt to have anything done since the worker would continued to treat us horribly. ||Something needs to be done about this individual as he will continue to ruin family’s experiences and make the hotel...
Read moreI want to start out by saying that I loved our stay, loved the area and actually was impressed with our check in process. But I must mention what I went through upon checking out. At check in on Saturday evening the young lady was very pleasant. She advised me of everything that I needed to know, (lounge hours, breakfast buffet hours etc.) She told me that " my rate included the breakfast buffet". I mentioned this to my wife and we both decided that we would stay at the property on our next visit as well. Before checking out on Sunday morning we had breakfast, our server asked if it would be one check or two? I told him that we were guest of the hotel and that the breakfast was included. He indicated that we needed the voucher that the hotel provided. I went to the front desk to get the voucher and was told that my rate did not include breakfast. I told the young lady that upon our check in I had been told that it did include it. I asked if she could look to see who checked me in on Saturday and she said that it was her who had checked me in. I then told her that if that was the case then it was you who told me. She looked at the reservation and told me that since I had booked through Hot Wire that my reservation did not qualify. I told her that when I checked in maybe she didn't look at my reservation closely at that time but that she had indeed told me that. I then told her that I had no problem paying for our meal but I do know what I was told. And having said that I want to say that I really don't appreciate being called a liar or a thief for something as simple as a breakfast. Believe me I didn't drive from Chattanooga to Nashville to see who I could swindle a free breakfast from. She was very rude and out of order and I don't appreciate it at all. I will say that our server was very nice and offered to just ignore that fact that we didn't have the voucher but I insisted on paying because I'm not looking for a freebie! You really need to work with some of your staff because it's really not worth the negative feed back that one person can cause on something as simple as this. Had she said I'm sorry I misinformed you I wouldn't be sending this now. But to have someone go back and forth with a customer is uncalled for. I don't know the young lady's name but I do know that she was there at 3:30PM on Saturday and there at 11:00AM on Sunday morning. My wife had suggested we tell our daughter about flying out of Nashville and staying here in April as she leaves for her honeymoon but now I'm...
Read moreThe hotel was great. We stayed in a suite. It was nice and clean. Not even any dust bunnies on the window seal or behind the bed.lol Loved the separation of the sitting area and bedroom. It had a kind of luxury studio feel. Very clean. Bed was VERY comfortable...Actually the best rest I have had in years...The tub was CLEAN enough for a sit down bath. (I mention this because there are so many hotels where we have stayed that do not clean the buildup from the sides of the tub....can anyone say..EWWW). Nice view frombthe top floor. The only negative things I can say about the room is that the tub had some rust around the drain and front of tub, and the shower. We really enjoyed the relaxing swim we had in the nicely clean pool. We had ordered takeout from the restaurant. Not impressed at all. Would have asked for a refund if they had not been closed. My husband had the Penne Cajun Alfredo w/shrimp, and I had the chicken and waffles(well waffle). He paid $23.($14.+ $9. extra for the shrimp) for his meal. This consisted of a very small portion of pasta slopped into a to go box. I say slopped because when he opened the box back in the room there was sauce everywhere. Extra sauce is usually good. However, It was just a WHITE WATERY MESS. Then, the shrimp that he paid $9. extra for was sparce. He only had 3-4 pieces. He was not happy with it. The meal that sounded so tantalizing by the description on the menu ended up being just a 'gut filler'. My meal, which was the Tennessee Spicy Chicken and Waffles, didn't make me too happy either. It consisted of 1 chicken breast cut in half and one 4"×4" waffle, just thrown into a small box. I felt like I had been given someones leftovers. The chicken was very dry and had so much spice to it that you could not taste the chicken. I like it spicy, but I like to taste the food, not just the spice. The waffle, which was also loaded with spice, was very dense and dry. It was like eating an unsweetened cake donut that had been coated with chili powder. No syrup was given either. Needless to say, when we checked out, the chicken and waffle was left behind.(of course the restaurant was not open when we checked out, so we could not complain). The Staff that we came into contact with were very nice. Other than the food, we had...
