If I could give zero stars I would. I'm from out of town and I'm going to keep it short and brief because I will be calling corporate. Anyways a older lady by the name of Sissy is racist. Me and my significant other walked in and said we were eating there after she asked us if it was to go or for "here". Anyways we picked out a table.. Mind you a group of "white men" sat behind us.. I'm nowhere near racist but I have to emphasize because this is how this woman made us feel she is. The lady Sissy give the group of men aluminum silverware and then throws plastic silverware at us. Then she proceeds to ask us what we want to drink and I said actually I'm okay I'll go to another waffle house because why did we get plastic silverware. She then proceeds to say she thought we were taking it Togo.... Hmm well how are we Togo if we are sitting at the table in front of the group of "white men" and then she specifically asked us if we were eating there or togo and I stated we were eating there before we even sat down at the table. Very rude, and racial discrimination from what we encountered and we will be calling corporate on her in the am. Mind you, my significant other went back in to ask the lady her name and she was very rude and disrespectful when giving it. My significant other asked her why she was being rude, she then proceeds to start spelling the conversation between her and my significant other as if she were dumb. My significant other then asks her why she was being rude and Sissy the worker said "Because she can." That's horrible I work just as hard as anyone else and just got off of a 12 hour shift from driving on the road highly disappointed!!!! They need to fire...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. Nearly every table was dirty when we sat down in an empty restaurant. The cook wiped our table down, apologized profusely for it being dirty and brought us our drinks. He was the one positive thing about our visit. Waitress, who was wearing no name tag, put utensils on the table on a dirty napkin, knives were dirty. Hash browns and bacon were swimming in grease on our plates. We both ordered bacon, order of bacon and sausage arrived. Waitress came back with second order of bacon and informed us that we got an order of bacon "on them" when she clearly made the mistake. Husband ordered hash browns scattered, smothered and covered. A tiny order arrived scattered and smothered only. Also ordered raisin toast but was given regular toast, took forever to make and deliver an order of raisin toast. Waitress loudly complained the entire time about her schedule and how she was only getting one day off. At one point, she was walking around talking/complaining about her schedule on the phone. She acted like it was such an inconvenience to her to actually do the job she was complaining about and getting paid to do. She had a serious attitude when errors were asked to be corrected. Plates were tossed on our table, not placed in front of us. Waitress came back at end of the meal and asked if she could clear the empty plates. I told her yes and she proceeded to take the plate of bacon away from my husband as he was eating. He said he wasn't finished with it. Her response to him was "well, she said to take it". The entire restaurant was...
Read moreWe recently visited a Waffle House, and it turned out to be one of the most pleasant dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with genuine friendliness, which immediately set a welcoming tone. Every person we interacted with was attentive and made sure we felt taken care of.
The food, unexpected, was delicious. We enjoyed some classic breakfast dishes that were cooked to perfection. One of the highlights was watching the fry cook work with amazing precision—every movement seemed calculated, and it was mesmerizing to see how efficiently they prepared the meals. It felt almost like watching an artist at work, adding to the overall experience.
What also stood out was how clean the restaurant was. It’s not every day you walk into a diner-style restaurant and find it so well-maintained. The prices were just right, offering excellent value for the food quality and service we received.
Overall, the atmosphere reminded us of a 1960s diner experience—warm, nostalgic, and thoroughly enjoyable. Everything felt comfortable and relaxed, making it more than just a meal. I highly recommend visiting this Waffle House if you want great food, excellent service, and a bit of classic diner charm. I don't know if this is typical for Waffle House or if this one is a gem, but I highly...
