BEDBUGS!!!. was bitten multiple times and woke up out of my sleep in pain bc of it! Room 508, Saturday July 6th. I immediately went to front desk and notified domini who was working front desk and there was nothing he could do. When I told him and showed him my bites(11 bites), and offered to show him pics and come see himself, he threw his hands up and said, "oh no I believe you ". He didn't seem surprised at all, so that lets me know they know they have bedbugs. He said the manager wouldn't be in until Monday and he couldn't switch me rooms bc they were completely filled, so in other words I was screwed. I didn't want another room anyways bc there were multiple bedbugs and bites, and that tells me it's a problem if not an infestation and i wouldn't dare take a chance staying in another room there and getting ate up again! I wanted a refund bc I was leaving! Again, domini couldn't do nothing at all for me bc he said the manager wouldn't be there until Monday. So I checked out and left at about 1:30am bc of this... and had to spend more money at Fairfield around the corner. The rooms here at county inn are outdated and have 70s style carpet, have a weird like old smell to them, some rooms may be renovated but mine was not. The shower did not get hot, more like lukewarm. There was hair on the toilet seat and bathroom sink, and a little on the bed that I wasn't going to say anything about, but naw, this hotel isn't worth it... and i won't let this go. I have bites going down my arm, back, etc, swollen and still in pain from them. Im allergic to everything, so bites are intensified on me. Im going to have to trash my stuff, bc I do not want to take a chance bringing bedbugs home!! I'll never stay here again.. have me afraid to stay anywhere to be honest. I stayed in a few country inn and suites at different locations And this one is the absolute worst. You're better off staying at red roof or super 8 or something. I've been trying to speak with the manager all day, and was told there was only one, no assistant manager or nothing. I've left messages, with front desk and on his vm. No return calls... everytime I call they say he's either in a meeting or away from his desk. Last time I called about 15 mins ago, i was told he left for the day, and will be back tomorrow at 10am. I know he got my messages. At this point I feel like he's avoiding me bc he's already been informed and doesn't want to refund me, and I think that's the right thing to do, since I had to pack up in the middle of the night and go find another room somewhere else, which was hard bc everyone was filled in town, but luckily ff had 1. So im contacting corporate now and the local health department. Save yourself and spend a little more, and stay somewhere else. Bedbugs is not something you want to deal with! I've stayed at other more lower budget hotels and have never dealt with anything like this. If I could give this a 0 rating I would. I've posted this review on booking site as well, but it appears some things had been cut off. If they...
Read moreI stayed in a "1 King Bed, No Smoking" room for 3 nights in January. I chose this hotel because there is no youth hostel in Nashville, and the cheapest Airbnb costs about the same per night as a room in this hotel.
Location-wise, it is convenient if you just want a short stay at a hotel close to the airport. The hotel does provide a "free" (courtesy note: you have to tip the driver) shuttle to and from the airport that comes every half hour. If your main goal is to explore the city, the only public bus that goes downtown and back comes approximately once every hour, so you have to schedule your itinerary carefully. Otherwise, the bus ride is fairly straightforward—hop on, ride for 30 minutes, hop off. Expect delays and no shelters at the bus stops. This isn't the fault of the hotel, but it's something to bear in mind as you're planning your trip.
For the price, the hotel room is pretty decent. You have your standard supply of coffee and tea bags in the room, an okay TV, a comfortable king bed, and amenities such as a sofa chair, a table, and a chair. I did not use the microwave or the fridge in the room, but they are available if you want to reheat food or store cold beverages for your own enjoyment. The room does not come with a bathtub, though, which the hotel does not properly publicize. I find it inconvenient that there are no electrical outlets near the tabletop, so I had to charge my phone and laptop on the bedside table. Also, although the temperature is comfortable, there is a damp smell in the room starting on the second day. This is probably because there is no ventilation fan in the bathroom, and the windows are locked, so the moisture from the showers has nowhere to go. The toiletries provided are decent, but nothing to brag about.
The breakfast is a highlight, as mentioned by many reviewers. You can expect scrambled eggs, sausages, toast and bagels, waffles, yogurt, cereals, fruits, and a 24/7 supply of coffee and tea bags.
Overall, as one of the more price-friendly hotels near downtown Nashville, it is a decent place for travelers who are...
