Not the best place to recommend. I dont normally do long post but so much went wrong at this Omni that needs to be corrected and you must read to get the full understanding. We had issues from our arrival. We had a late flight and didn't arrive at the hotel until about 11:30 pm. We were very exhausted so we didnt have time to look around the room and check it out, so we went straight to sleep ,as we slept in the comforters we kept noticing that there was something hard in the inside. The next morning when we woke up I looked at the comforter and held it to the light and it was in bad shape and very mangled to the point to where it scratches and welts on us from what I'm guessing were the feathers inside and didnt look very sanitary. As we got in the shower we noticed that the nozzle for the bathtub was broken off and about fall off as well as the bathroom door was off the hinges and swiveled back and forth. So when we got out the shower and started to unpack and the drawers were broken. I called front desk to get a manager to come up and look at the issues that we were having but they never responded so I went downstairs to the front desk and took the comforter to show front desk.As we talked to the guy at the front desk did switch out our room to one with the same view which was facing the mall but it was a smaller room in size.(WHAT AN INCONVENICE )!!!my wife was to the point that she did not want to complain so we just dealt with it. We purchased the parking and all inclusive breakfast package with the hotel only to notice that at check out we had charges on our bill for the first day of breakfast. We also had issues with the second day of breakfast with the water the waitress served us and it had alot of cloudy substance in the container when she poured in into our glasses,it was so bad I can understand how she did not see it until we made her aware of it. As I told the waitress and she when to get another container but I told I will just take a soft drink. I am not a big soda fan but I asked for a dr.pepper and after about 10 mins she came back and said that they were out of that as well as another drink so I just settled for root beer. Back to the check out, for the most part it went smooth despite the extra charge that was on our bill but as I gave the valet the ticket to our car ,there was a couple that checked out 15 mins after us that received thier car about 15 to 20 mins before us so I went back up to the front desk to ask them the status of our vehicle she said he was looking for it .There was another assistant about to get off work and I asked her did they have a cell number for the guy becuse it was now 3:55am and I had a 5am flight to catch get to the airport 25 mins away , return my rental and she had them to call him but then she gives me the phone to talk to him(REALLY)!!!! I ask him where was the car and he replied ",someone didnt park it in the right place and he was still looking for it". We finally recieved our car and just made our flight as they were boarding. We paid for preferred boarding and lost out on the money that we paid for it at the airport because of our delay. Overall most of the staff was very friendly but I would not pay the money that we spent for the accommodations and sacrifice the service again and stay their unless they corrected alot of there opportunities. We had more issues than I have ever had at this brand Omni.(On our last day we also met an older couple in the elevator that had issues from thier room and roaches that were upgraded to a penthouse, what a...
Read moreI stayed at the Riverfront Hotel from July 3–7, 2025, expecting the same quality experience I had last year when it was the Omni. Unfortunately, this stay was the complete opposite.
Upon check-in, we were not given the room we had previously confirmed, so we were moved to a different one. As soon as we entered the new room, we were hit with a strong, unpleasant odor—similar to mold or water damage. I brought this to the attention of the night supervisor, who showed little urgency and simply offered to move us to a room one floor down. A staff member accompanied me to room 447 to evaluate it, but it smelled just as bad as the first (room 547). When I asked if he could smell it too, he claimed it was just the "air freshener." I was shocked by the lack of concern and explained that the odor was not normal.
We were eventually moved again. The new room was unbearably hot, even though the thermostat was set to 60 degrees. The AC blew hot air all night, making it impossible to sleep especially in Louisiana heat. The bathroom also had a terrible odor, making the space uncomfortable overall.
The next day, July 4th, we tried to speak with a manager again. She was on a lunch break. We informed staff that our AC was still broken and left to enjoy our day. Later, we received a text from the manager saying we could move to another room, but after already switching three times, we were too exhausted. When we returned, the AC was blasting freezing cold air that we couldn't regulate. We spent the entire weekend either hot or cold and the odor never went away.
On Saturday, my friend finally spoke with the manager, who was completely unfazed and unprofessional. She took phone calls and engaged with other guests while my friend tried to explain our issues. Not only did she lack empathy, but she also offered no real solution—just a $75 credit. We were told we couldn’t receive a refund even if we left early, which we seriously considered. It felt like the staff were simply there for a paycheck, not to support or value their guests.
That said, I want to give a special shoutout to Nay, who went above and beyond with genuine care and concern—we truly appreciated her kindness! Ashton from valet services was also fantastic and provided excellent service throughout our stay!
We made the best of our trip, but this hotel stay significantly impacted our overall experience. Between the bad odors, malfunctioning AC, repeated room changes, and unprofessional management, I cannot in good faith recommend this hotel.
If you’re considering staying here, I strongly suggest looking at other nearby options. Your time, comfort, and money are too valuable to waste on a place that doesn’t...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Omni Riverfront hotel for a week, and while my overall experience had its ups and downs, I was unfortunately taken aback by an unwelcome surprise on the last day of my stay.
To begin with, the hotel itself had some positive aspects. The location was convenient, allowing easy access to various attractions, and the staff, in general, were friendly and accommodating. The amenities provided, including the fitness center and on-site restaurant, were satisfactory and added value to my stay.
However, my satisfaction was dampened when I encountered a mouse in my room on the final day of my week-long stay. The sight of a rodent within the premises of the hotel was highly unexpected and left me feeling unsettled. This incident raised concerns about the cleanliness and pest control measures within the hotel. Finding a mouse in my room, especially after staying for a significant duration, was deeply disappointing.
Additionally, I noticed that the base of the bathroom faucet valve in my room had been leaking throughout my entire stay, resulting in water consistently pooling on the counter. While I did not report this issue to the hotel staff, it is still worth mentioning that such a persistent leak can be indicative of maintenance shortcomings.
While there were positive aspects to my stay, such as the hotel's convenient location and the generally friendly staff, the presence of a mouse in my room on the final day and the ongoing leakage from the bathroom faucet were significant drawbacks. These issues left me with a negative impression of the hotel's attention to cleanliness and maintenance.
I hope the management takes immediate action to reinforce proper pest control measures and ensure timely maintenance, especially regarding leakages. It is crucial for the hotel to prioritize guest comfort and address issues promptly. I appreciate the positives I experienced during my stay but cannot overlook the disappointments caused by these unfortunate incidents.
In conclusion, my week-long stay at the Omni Riverfront hotel had its ups and downs, but the unexpected sighting of a mouse on the last day, coupled with the ongoing leakage from the bathroom faucet, significantly marred my overall experience. I hope the hotel management takes this feedback seriously and works towards improving their cleanliness standards and maintenance practices to provide a more pleasant stay for...
