UPDATE: After a recent rash of break-ins of cars in the open parking lot I'm knocking this from a 4 to a 3-star review. Now, I don't know if parking security in this location is the responsibility of the terminal, but even if it isn't, they're the ones contracted to/working with whoever does run that lot. Keep in mind, this review concerns ALL aspects of the terminal "experience". I mean, even the best terminals can't offset the horrible experience of having one's car damaged and personal belongings stolen. So, sadly, unless and until something is done about parking, both security-wise and safety/convenience-wise (a poorly secured lot, no sidewalks in some areas to get to the terminal requiring walking on the street, no covered parking), my rating dips to 3-stars. The people are very kind, though sometimes in a hurry due to crowds. If you're not going on Carnival, the parking is a lot about 2 blocks from the terminal. It's just an open lot, though fenced (poorly) & guarded (poorly), but you have to walk back to the terminal no matter the weather. There's a part near some train tracks where there's literally no place for pedestrians walking to/from the parking lot to/from the terminal other than in the street. This should've been remedied years ago.
The terminal is very functional, allowing for efficient movement of people through and on to the ship. The place could use a coat of paint, though. It seems dated and worn.
But the true bright spot, the reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 3 is because of the people. Almost everyone is remarkably kind, though some may be in a hurry, which is understandable. You won't get lost, someone will be wherever you need help, believe me I've been there a dozen times or more and it's been...

We were given two arrival times by the cruise ship administrations, so we showed up early to ensure that we were on time as requested by the royal carribean cruise. We took Uber to the location and a porter took our bags out of the van to be checked in by the ship. We were directed towards the screening area for boarding the ship. To our suprise, it was eary and fairly light volume of people. We were able to get on board quickly, check-in at our rally point for safety briefing, and find a buffet restaurant to get something to eat on board the ship. We moved through the terminal with ease. The personnel were professional and efficient moving us to through each checkpoint. It was a great option to take an Uber to the terminal as it allowed for easy access to have our bags taken. There were other pick-up, drop off, and waiting areas nearby the terminal. This could be confusing to last minute people rushing to find the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA very confusing experience! When associated with a cruise, this parking area is difficult to navigate. Additionally, after our 7-Day Cruise the attendant attempted to charge us twice the published rate. When challenged he quickly acknowledge the difference in prices and suggested it was because we parked in the Hilton section of the parking area. We refuse to pay twice the rate so he suggested we pay in cash. I do believe something less-than-positive was happening. I noticed that the parking lot had been divided by a yellow tape before we left for our Cruise. When we returned the yellow tape was on the other side of our vehicle . Someone had attempted to change our parking designation while we were on our cruise.I do believe there is a con artist at work somewhere in association with this parking area! At the very least it was a confusing mess to have to deal with - both leaving and returning...
