I ordered the shrimp and grits and they were absolutely disgusting. The waitress kept asking what I did not like about them and I told her several times, the flavor. I am not sure what else she wanted me to explain about unfavorable taste. THAT MESS DID NOT TASTE GOOD, PERIOD!!! I did not enjoy the flavor one bit. 3 other people at my table also tasted this dish and no one enjoyed it. I had one spoon and she tells me the manager is not going to take it off the bill and i should take it to go to give to someone. Never offered any other meal, told me the kitchen is closed and not only did she not take it off the bill, they wouldn't even discount it. Ridiculous that they would not even offer something else or take it off of the bill. That is not customer service. On the other hand, the grilled oysters were something special and taste very good. But I cannot get over the customer service. This is not how a business should be run. I will not return and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Let me add, the manager came out because I refused to pay the gratuity and he did not try to fix it, didn't ask what he could do, didn't care what's so ever and just said, "I'll take the tip off then" ( just my ticket) and walked away!!!! (They automatically added the tip because we were a group of 6). I'm from California and I am not used to this type of treatment. Of course our waitress was irritated and definitely showed it, because she was not getting a tip. When I initially told her I did not like my dish, she sucked her teeth and walked away. I cannot make this stuff up. It was a terrible evening at this place ( I can't even give it the respect of calling it a...

My first and last experience with this restaurant was very upsetting. My husband and I plus two family members drove 45 minutes to come eat in New Orleans. As we can upon the restaurant we where please with the menu selection. I personally wanted the dish displayed on the bored outside. We walk in and are seated at a very small table for 4 people. We are then handed out menus. As I order a sweet tea the waitress tells me they do not have sweet tea. That’s very upsetting for a southern restaurant. Three people at the table ordered a dr.pepper. The dr.pepper was absolutely horrible. We made her take it back. We then ask for a root beer. The waitress was not sure if she can get us a that drink. She did bring us back glass bottle root beers from the bar. We go to order our food the advertised item I wanted the waitress said they did not have it. The waitress was very in unknowledgeable about the menu. We waited a very long time for our food to arrive. Two of the our plates where cold. Also everyone received their food but me and I had to wait even longer. As we got the bill and finished our food we realized we where charged an extra 10 just for the root beer. The waitress did not tell us about this charge. A little while later a man came up to us asking if everything was okay. We explained all of our problems he told us there was nothing he could do we should have told him sooner. We where not able to tell him sooner he didn’t approach us until after...

WORST customer service and management i’ve ever dealt with. Don’t get me wrong the food was delicious and our server was great. I lost my wallet and got treated with no respect, i was gone for a whole 6 minutes TOPS and i know exactly where i left it, i went back in and one of the “managers” as she called herself had to ask another manager if i could check the cameras, and didn’t even let me check them. but she apparently did herself, with my wallet still missing. with the “our camera didn’t pick that up” how they talked to me was very nonchalant and underwhelming considering they try to carry themselves to highly. the real “manager” told me only our server and the bus boy touched the table so i asked if she checked them and she said she couldn’t “shake them down”. our server was a sweetheart and was more comforting then any of the managers or owner who was 5 foot away from us sitting at the bar with his uniform still on, she gave almost an understanding vibe that she knew that her managers were lazy. i did have a lot of money in the wallet and my cards, but all of that could be replaced, the wallet was my just recent deceased mothers and it meant a lot to me. very disappointed in the upmost vulgar tone they used against me. never will be...

This was the first restaurant my wife and I stopped at as we arrived to NOLA! It was evening, fantastic romantic setting as we walked down Fulton Street. We peaked in and saw a nice rustic ambiance of hardwood floors with an elegant stone top counter oyster bar... we had to go in and check this place out! Sure enough we were not disappointed. Little did we know, Grande Isle is an authentic quality restaurant in New Orleans! The menu surely encompasses the flavors of New Orleans! We came out here to try out to New Orleans to experience NOLA's culture and most importantly the culinary cuisine That exists here. Having said that, this establishment not only provides the wide spectrum of flavors that New Orleans has to offer but they master the dishes! For starters we had raw oysters of course; my wife enjoyed the experience of diving into turtle soup! If you've never tried authentic Cajun/creole and your your not sure what to try out, the wait staff here is on point when it comes to service. Truly a delight to work with! If we find ourselves walking down Fulton, we definitely will hit the Grand Isle again!

Grand. Great. Absolutely grateful we found this fine, Big Easy establishment. While we did already partake in more touristy NOLA - not that there’s anything wrong with that - you can only go right with Grand Isle. And I’ll mention our orders were from some alternate food dimension that can only be crafted by their chef. The menu makes it clear: “No Refunds” ‘cause that’s how CONFIDENT they are with what they serve and clearly the labor of love that goes into their grand grub. We got a Caesar Salad, which is a rather basic choice. But here they baste 2 large uncut romaines with a dreamy dressing. Do make sure to have the Icebox Lemon 🍋 Pie, that’s key-lime-esque but lemony fresh with a fruit compote. Do not eat this dessert. Rather let it slowly seep into your tastebuds. My dish of fish was fan-freakin’-tasty. The corn grits are a hit (even as someone who normally despises grits). Make sure to talk to the staff - The servers, hosts, and bartenders are food-fluent and insightful. And whether you’re a foodie or not, your trip to Grand Isle is an investment beyond worthwhile!
