Not a place for tourists (according to the server AMBER)(Tourist friendly restaurant recommendations we ate at during our trip added at the end of the review).
Went here during my Bachelorette party. Enquired before hand about having a group of nine and was told no problem.
AMBER was our server. I mentioned to AMBER at the beginning that we were on a time line and only had an hour before we needed to leave so asked if we could go ahead and place our food orders with our drink order. AMBER said sure no problem.
30 minutes later we received the majority of our order and AMBER said the others would be out soon. One person in our party asked AMBER for the correct salad dressing that was ordered. AMBER said she'd grab it. 15-20 minutes passed and we were still waiting on the rest of the food and the salad dressing. It turns out that AMBER didn't actually put the order in for the food we were waiting on. We told AMBER not to worry about it because we need to leave soon anyway, and asked for the bills.
AMBER said it would only be one bill because they don't split it around here (however, everyother place we ate at during our trip happily split up the bill). That caught us off guard because none of us were planning on having to pay for nine people. So I paid and we left AMBER a tip and also tipped the bartender (because wasn't sure if tips were split or not) both tips added up to at least 13% of our bill, AMBER receiving the smaller portion because of the service.
After paying we went outside. AMBER came outside and questioned, "you guys aren't from around here? We don't want you guys coming back. You can't come in here expecting to be served quickly and only tip a small amount."
As mentioned, it was stated before even ordering we only had an hour. If there was a problem AMBER should have let us know in the beginning. Also part of our order wasn't actually written down and submitted, and we had to ask for things multiple times. A 13% tip total is on the low side but AMBER'S portion reflected the quality of the service we received.
AMBER had plenty of time to stand around and flirt with the cook.

Read moreI walked for a while before we chose this place. Overall not a bad place. It was built in 1902 and they have kept things from that era and that's cool! That floor motif gave me pause after zi noticed what it atvthebendvif my meal. There's a picture you tell me what YOU see!
The food was mediocre at best but still cool because I ate it all!
Waitress was cool until she wasn't! I gave her $1 as a tip on $36 bill. I was prepared to give her an 18 to 20% tip. All we had were $10 bills and no I wasn't giving her a $10 tip! The service and food were not that good to leave her a large tip...hubby almost did but I said let's get change. I asked for a 5 and a 5 ones, np she takes it away to a cashier and brings it back cool! But this is where she messes up She turns to leave and notices my husband's bag on the floor says Hey your bag is on the floor I'm gonna just pick it up and put it on the chair behind you. I glance down as she grabs his bag, I also notice something fell out on the floor She swiftly grabs it with her left hand and puts it at her side while picking up his other bag with her right hand and starts to walk away. So I asked what was there that fell ou the bag? She throws a small stack of $10 bills on the table and walks away! She was gonna keep my husband's money had I not seen her pick it up! My husband is blind and there were 3 other blind customers in there as well. I heard them ask her to break down the bill.
I can't stand a liar or a thief! She has no integrity. She knows I saw her and if you heard her complain about a $1 tip now you know why. Blind people gotta be careful of ppl like her! I could have gone to the manager but I need ppl to know because there are currently over 3k blind and low vision ppl in town for a Convention. They need to know before you go! Red hair nose ring is not to be trusted! She gave decent to great service but she didn't make the...
Read moreWe had a group of 11 people and we stopped for lunch here. Very small little place but cute hence the 3 stars for the atmosphere. Our server was Bella, she had took a while to greet us but when she did she asked us for our drink orders twice. We ended up getting our drinks but very under filled. We then were told that she couldn’t put our food orders in but did not even tell us how long we had to wait so we were really in the dark. When we got the chance to order after 30 minutes we also had to wait 45 minutes to get our food. A majority of our group got food, and when she came out to check on us she said did everyone get their food? Clearly not! We had multiple people without food for a solid hour and a half! Later we were waiting still and she comes out and says “yall know I have other tables to serve to?” Well yes clearly, that’s your job but it’s also your job to make sure we have enough to drink (which we did not). We eventually got our remaining food but without it fully completed. So we had to ask for our toppings which was annoying. The food was lukewarm and over cooked. She went over to another table asked them “how is everything?” And then came over to our table and was like “Hi” but in a very sassy tone. At the end we notified a manager about this. They said they would talk to Bella about her attitude. But the managers also kind of dismissed the fact that the food was just bad and the wait time was bad too. They had said “200 people have come through here to eat and if only a few meals got messed up I call that a win” like how does that help anything?? And get this, one of our group members went to the bathroom, and the server was in there and the server said “they [us] were the most entitled people I’ve ever met in my life, insane” when she knew our group member was in that bathroom with her! We get sassed at to our faces and we get called rude things...
