We had a great stay here and the staff was awesome!! There is only construction at the entrance on the outside. Lobby and front desk area small but clean. The room was small but very clean, had a comfortable king bed, shower was on time with instant hot water and water pressure was great. Room was quite and had a fridge, microwave, safe and cable TV. Blind was room darkening and coffee in the lobby but Dunkin Donuts right around the corner. Good location, we felt safe and we will be back! Love NYC!

Not the best place... First thing I noticed was the underwear hanging in my bathroom, no clue who's it was. Didn't touch it. Towels were dirty, some had stains, the mini fridge wasn't cold enough, and the place looked kind of run down. Rooms were decently sized. They had free breakfast in the basement- very basic continental. It was a decent stay, but unless the rooms get better, I don't think I'll stay again.

The hotel was fine for its cost (85$ per night inc. tax, low season). The room was clean and quiet, the wifi was good. A bad bulb was fixed. The condition of the room itself is pretty old and bad. The walls are dirty and the door of the room too. The sink is broken (no leaks). I would recommend if you're looking for something cheap, but maybe you could find something in a better shape for a similar price.

I don't know where to start. ||I have a whole story but I guess I'll just get to the point right away.||||I never want to come back to this hotel ever again. ||The hotel manager Vlad and another asian guy was the only nice thing out of this whole hotel experience. The hotel's owner was just very immature and terrible terrible. The manager told me to call the hotel owner because he has something to say to me and when I did, he told me that he got fraud. ||||Okay so apparently, I booked this hotel from this place called 'New York Namoo' from Korea, and I payed half ($1440) to 'New York Namoo' in Korea and half to 'Casamia 36hotel' owner in person, which I had no idea before all of this happened. ||||I just did what they told me to do, and he (the owner) called me and asked me, a hotel guest, to get his money back for him. He said 'New York Namoo' lady wasn't answering his calls and texts, and he said that she took all of his money. He told me that I should threaten her to give all of the money back for him. ||||I was just.. shocked. ||||And the funny thing is he wasn't even 'asking' me to do so. He was very rude and inappropriate, I'd say almost blackmailing me to do so. He said that if I don't get the money back from the New York Namoo lady, then I'll have to pay him half the hotel fee once more, or he'll have to kick me out of the hotel. ||||I told him I didn't even have a clue 'NewYork Namoo' and 'Casamia36' is a different, co-working group, and I told him I am a hotel guest and whether or not he got fraud or not, I have absolutely no reason to get kicked out of the hotel. ||||So I sent a message to the NewYork Namooo lady ||in thhe morning and asked but she answered just fine. She said that she usually doesn't reply on the weekends. So yes, it turned out he was just super paranoid that she wasn't in contact with him. and it was a ||misalarm. I dunno honestly what's gotten into him. |||||| Never in my life experienced something like this. HWha taway to treat a guest.||I stayed here for a whole month, (2021.11.18-2021.12.17) and I have tooomany stories to share...||||I hope the owner wns up and grows up. After that night we had a fight, he started glaring at me not even saying hi everytime our eyes met. I mean who does that? I'm half his age. I thought he should really own up and apologize for what he's said and done. But oh well. ||||Tthe hotel doesn't give you towels or gives you a room cleaning service for free. The towel's like 7dollars and room cleaning is 36$. I stayed here for a month like I've said beore, and the hotel manager Vlad gave us some free towels as a service which was nice. Yes... It's not like regular hotels. So please check...

We stayed here for 4 nights. The Hudson 36 hotel is located about 10 minutes walk away from Penn station and subway, which is very handy. As far as 3 star hotels go, i would say in terms of space in the room it was better than the 3 star hotel i stayed at in Amsterdam. Hotels in Amsterdam are notoriously small for what you pay! I had read reviews about the rooms being small here so i knew what to expect in this regard. There was enough room to get around in the room, although admittedly not much room for larger suitcases (ours were small so no real issue here). Definitely more room than i anticipated. Someone mentioned on here about the room photos being stock images from somewhere else, i'm not sure that's entirely the case tbh. Water was located in basement, but for a good reason! It was a rather bulky machine because it also dispensed ice! I'm not sure people would appreciate such a loud machine in the main lobby here so i think that yet again peoples comments are unjust. Cups where provided, but we just used our own, plastic cups are easily purchased anywhere in New York (ice slushies etc) that way u can load it up with ice and take it back to your room (i mean come on, its common sense really)! All the usual stuff was done to the room while we was out, bedding was changed and towels etc so on that part all good. The wifi is also good, but we were on level 3, i'm not sure what it would be like on the higher levels since i presume the wifi originates from the main lobby? On our last day we was allowed to leave our suitcases downstairs in the lobby as our trains were at 9pm. This was great, it meant we could explore New York on our last day without the hassle of carting them about! All in All a pretty decent hotel for the price, location and star level. Possibly could be a bit cheaper, but city tax is in every major city so that is hard to get around unfortunately and the hotel has got to make...
