Brand new hotel (only 16 months old) with fancy decor locates near the Lincoln tunnel entrance. The front desk staff Patrick was wonderful and pleasant. The room was clean and things were most functioned well except the AC/heating unit (we were assigned to the 15th floor and it has a wall unit under the window.) After sweating in the room and wondered why the AC was not on. We found out that the wall thermostat was just a decor (not functioning at all). Then we discovered there was a control panel hidden under the window wall unit and we could turn on the AC. Late at night, it became very chill and we tried to turn the heat on without any luck. Since it was very late and we decided to hide in the blanket and tough it out. In the morning, we woke up by the cold temperature air in the room. We went downstair and let the front desk staff know. They offered to send a engineer to help. He told us that the wall thermostat wasn’t functioned and should be turned off. Then he was playing with the wall unit control panel and told us that also not working well and the AC unit needed reset. The engineer opened the dusty unit cover and reset switch inside. The warm air finally came out and the room temperature raised to a comfortable level. The ordeal didn’t end here, around 11 am, sun shined in and the room was too warm, and we couldn’t turn on AC. So we went downstair and let the front desk know. The engineer came back again and told us, in order to have AC, he needed to open the wall unit and reset again. So he did and the cool air came out and made the room comfortable again. I hoped they could fix this AC heating unit problem because the location of the hotel was great and most staff was super nice. Update: I stayed there again last Sunday night and stayed at 18th floor. The HVAC system worked flawlessly. The rooms was clean and functioning properly. The Breakfast was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This was the hotel I booked through Expedia for my 5 day trip to NYCC in 2019 and it was great I really enjoyed it. 😊 It was clean, conveniently located, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The bar was open quite late which helped to decompress after wading through the crowds. Although it was small, it was inviting. The room was exactly what I was looking for, modern comfortable and small. I didn't want a big room I could lose all my stuff in, and since it was just me I had plenty of room. The bed was very soft and comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful, and well lit, with a good outlet for the hairdryer and the like. Also good water pressure, and hot showers at any time of the morning or night. Why not 5 stars if I liked it so much: There was a balcony that wasn't open, and while I chose the option to see the cityside when reserving the room, I was a little disappointed that the window was blocked by the bed and without being able to get out onto the locked balcony, I couldn't see much. But I chalked that up to all the construction going on, maybe it was unsafe. !?! To be fair I also completely forgot to ask about it so they were not given the option to correct that complaint. The only other thing is the food was just average. Don't get me wrong the Drinks at the bar were excellent! In such a nice place with everything else being over the top great, the over salted breakfast, poor coffee, and slightly freezer burned ice cream left me feeling like they could have done better. Again the staff was so nice I felt bad saying anything but if you could improve that I would give this place 5 stars in an instant. I would definitely book again, and maybe next year I will try again, but it is a good deal if you can find the right price for you.

Location is great but the rooms and the price for value is just horrific. First room I was provided, the window doesn’t open. The windows have air vents but when I opened it I was just shocked. Inch thick full of dust. No one bothered to clean it. I complained about this and the staff moved me up to another room, same quality and style. Window opened slightly to allow some fresh air. I opened up the air vent by the window just to see and that also had dust and funnily enough even more! What I paid and what I received was really not up to scratch. It is definitely not worth the money. We booked months in advance and even in advance it was expensive. I paid extra for a view but honestly it was quite limited due to the angle. The bed wasn’t facing it so it wasn’t really worth paying for it. There are other better hotels in the area. Anyone ready this go for a hotel that has some balcony, or roof top you can go hang out in. For the same amount of money there are other and better hotels in the area. The staff were nice. The manager there was helpful.

Out the gate I want to rate this hotel a 9.5. The reason I say 9.5 is because There is a certain way I like to rate hotels.I feel giving the rating of 10 is reserved for those high end hotels (St. Regis *ahem ahem-check my review of that hotel). When it comes to staying at a hotel what I look for is a feeling that is provided with all features encompassing. Such as the facility, the amenities, the staff, etc and with all of these things coming together this is what I ask myself. Whether I stay in the hotel the entire day or if I go out all day for whatever reason and return, do I feel as though I'm in my sanctuary for the time I'm there. If the answer is no then the hotel fails. If the answer is yes, then I start to break down the individual items that give the hotel my score. This particular hotel made me feel as though I was home from the time I walked in to the time I left.

Let me start with the staff. I'm upset I don't remember everyone's name to give them credit but I definitely remember Rob. He was exactly what the hotel brand wants representing it. Down to earth, friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. He checked me in and I spoke to him for about 5 minutes during the check. Standard for all guests. What really impressed me was the next night I called from a restaurant to ask a question about refrigeration and bringing leftovers. After he answered my question and got my room number he said "Oh Mr. Burgess, you're still with us?" The fact that he remembered who I was, was so impressive. To expand on that impressiveness, to take care of the fact that I had leftovers from a restaurant and didn't have a refrigerator in my room his solution was to bring a refrigerator in my room so I could have one..........................Let me repeat that in case you skimmed over it. He had a refrigerator brought to my room. Service like that usually comes from 5 star hotels. Fantastic. The great thing is it wasn't just him providing this service, it was the whole staff.

The restaurant and "lobby" area was small and cozy. Good for deciding you want to change your environment and just hang out for an hour or so, or to just dine in from the comfort of the hotel. The gym was a decent size. There were 3 of us working out at one time and I feel 2 more could have comfortably joined as well. The other facility I used was the business center to print out a document and that was seamless.

As far as the room goes, I was extremely comfortable. As far as size goes you're getting your standard size NYC room so complaints about room size are not warranted at all. What's more, when you book the room on the website you can see how big the room is in square feet.

In my entire stay there was only 1 issue I had which is the biggest tip I can give to everyone. If you are driving your own car, there is a parking lot across that street that will charge you $20 for up to 24 hours parking. NOWHERE in the city will give you that rate. I highly recommend this hotel for a stay...

We are an Irish couple who were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in July this year. I have been travelling to New York for over 10 years for work and pleasure and have stayed in many hotels across the city.

We had a 12 day trip, the first 4 nights were booked in this hotel, then we headed to Toronto for 4 nights and then we were coming back to NYC for another 4 nights in a different hotel. We had such a great experience in this hotel for the first part of our trip that we cancelled the hotel we had booked for the second period in NYC and booked back in to this hotel. The reception staff were able to get us a great deal to come back to this hotel.

The staff were so helpful and friendly from the reception staff, to the concierge, to the bar and restaurant staff. Unfortunately I do no remember everyone’s name but a special mention goes out to Erin in the bar who was really friendly, made some great cocktails and had some great recommendations for places to eat. He even gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant in Toronto which we really enjoyed. Edward on the concierge desk was on hand to offer advice for getting around and places to visit.

The rooms were very clean and were a reasonable size for a NYC hotel. There was no fridge in the room but we requested a fridge for both stays and the hotel staff gladly provided one.

The hotel has a great choice for breakfast and we enjoyed breakfast on several occasions. We had a nice lunch one of the days but did not try dinner. There was a good selection of cocktails, wine, beer and liquor in the bar

This is a small boutique modern hotel just 5 minutes’ walk from Madison Square Garden/Penn Station and about 15 minutes’ walk from Times Square. The Hudson Yards Subway station is a 2 minute walk. It is at the end of the 7 line and 1 stop to Times Square where you can connect to multiple Subway Lines to travel throughout NYC.

The location in Midtown West was very relaxing and had some great amenities. There were some great options to eat and drink in some nearby Delis and restaurants on 10th and then as you move towards 9th and then 8th avenue the choice gets even better. There’s a deli, Duane Reade’s and a liquor store down the street so snacks, groceries, medicines and alcohol all readily available in easy walking distance.

Points of interest - the High Line entrance is a 5 minute walk, as is the sidewalk along the Hudson and the USS Intrepid is 10 minute walk away. Great options to relax on a warm day.

One thing to note is that there was some construction going on nearby but it did not interfere with our stay.

When I go back to NYC I will definitely look out this hotel as my...

My husband, our teen daughter and I stayed at this hotel for an extended weekend getaway. We arrived in NYC via the Megabus which stops within blocks of this hotel. We chose this hotel because we didn't want to drive into NYC and chose to take the Megabus. Once off the bus, we didn't want to have to walk far or catch the subway or bus to get to our hotel. Plus, my husband had been raving about how much Hudson Yards had been built up since we'd been in that area. This hotel is within walking distance to the new mall at Hudson Yards and the various sites in that area. Also it is a few walkable blocks to Macy's and all those stores as well as Times Square. This is a perfect location, but a little quieter than the end near Macys. When we arrived our room was not ready, but the friendly front desk staff, Marvin and Cassandra offered to store our luggage until our room was ready and gave us some pointers of places in the area to visit so we could make the most of our short time in NYC and they said we'd be notified when our room would be ready. They were so nice, courteous and helpful. By 3:00 we called the hotel and was told we could come back to get into our room.

Check-in went smoothly for our corner room. We had nice view of the city and a view of the Hudson River, but the river view was a bit blocked by other buildings. I can say that I was able to see a cruise ship go by. All in all, nice views from our room. Our night time city view was awesome. The room was pretty typical of a New York hotel...kinda small. We had 2 double beds. One bed was right at the bathroom entrance. A little weird, but not a deal breaker, just strange for the bed to be beside the bathroom entrance. There was a mini-fridge in the room, but it was sitting directly on the floor as opposed to on a cart or stand. There was no microwave in the room, but one was downstairs behind the front desk that was accessible for guests as well as the employees. We did have a problem with our tv, wifi and phone not working our second night, but we were given breakfast vouchers by another nice gentleman (whom I forget his name) for our inconvenience to be used the next morning. By morning the tv, wifi and phone were still not working. We were then given a credit on our stay as well as some points on our BonVoy account for the inconvenience. This is what I call excellent customer service which is why we love staying at Marriott properties. I must say every staff member whom we came in contact with made us feel so welcomed and appreciated. Thank you to each of you who made our short stay so enjoyable...we...
