I came across Casa Louie on Grubhub at just the right moment — I’d been feeling a little burned out on the usual Italian spots in the area, and this place caught my eye like a breath of fresh air.
I ordered the Shrimp Scampi, the Hot Louie, the Mushroom Pie, and a Caesar Salad, and honestly? Everything exceeded expectations.
The Shrimp Scampi was perfectly balanced — the shrimp were plump and juicy, with a garlic-white wine sauce that had depth but didn’t feel heavy. The pasta was al dente and tossed just right. Comforting and flavorful without trying too hard.
The Hot Louie was bold and memorable — a satisfying mix of heat and richness, like a signature dish that actually deserves the title. It had this spicy-savory kick that kept me going back for another bite.
The Mushroom Pie was earthy and luxurious. The crust was crisp on the outside, soft inside, and generously filled — the kind of dish that makes you slow down and appreciate every mouthful.
Even the Caesar Salad was elevated — crisp romaine, a well-balanced dressing that wasn’t overly creamy, and just the right amount of tang. It actually held its own next to the richer mains.
And this was all just delivery. The quality, the flavor, the care — it made me want to experience it properly, in person.
So yeah, next stop: dining in at Casa Louie. I have a feeling this one’s going to become a...
Read moreMy friend and I decided to try Casa Louie, a fantastic Italian restaurant in our neighborhood. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, setting the tone for a delightful meal.
The food was exceptional, with standout dishes like the delicious meatballs and tasty beet salad. Most importantly, the pizza did not disappoint - it was fresh, well-made, and truly showcased the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients and culinary skill. Our server was attentive, friendly, and helped make our dining experience even more enjoyable.
To satisfy our sweet tooth, we ordered the tiramisu. While I personally prefer it to be soaked in a bit more coffee, it was still a tasty treat.
The restaurant's ambiance is inviting and cozy, making it an ideal spot for enjoying a meal with friends and loved ones. Although we found the temperature a little chilly during our visit, the atmosphere will be perfect for the summer months.
One small suggestion for improvement would be to provide some heat source, such as a candle, to keep the pizzas warm as they're served on elevated trays.
Overall, we had a splendid time at Casa Louie and highly recommend this gem to anyone seeking an authentic Italian dining experience in a warm,...
Read moreDropped in on a whim while in the Chelsea area. Limited reviews but looked solid. Had one of the best lunches we’ve had in awhile. Our lunch server was awesome and seemed excited to be there working. After some solid recommendations we went through several pasta dishes and apps! Porcini and meatball spaghetti are legit! Lunch was so good that we reserved a table for dinner that night as well to take a crack at the Hot Louie! The management staff recognized us upon return and got us a cocktail and table quickly. Hot Louie is definitely one of the best Sicilian squares in the city but have to get the 3 crust sauces. As a thank you for visiting the staff bright us a complementary (huge) piece of an amazing tiramisu! Again…on the money! Chef was amazing, staff again was energetic and excited to share the menu and their upbeat attitude, management is dialed in! Go for lunch, prepare to book for dinner! This new Italian restaurant will not disappoint and you’ll be chatting it up around the water...
