recently just stayed at this establishment November 16, 2024 to November 17, 2024. I stayed in room 803 and we tried to turn on the heat. It was blowing cold air around 4:40 PM. I have called down to the front desk to let them know that the heat was not working the front desk send a man to check on the heat and confirmed that it is not working. He has told me that he would be back to see what they were going to do. I let 40 minutes go by before I called the front desk again Asking what was going on. They told me. Basically what do you want me to do about it they cannot accommodate me. They don’t have the authority to accommodate me. They did not even offer me extra blankets mind you it is getting cold outside specially at night. My husband went downstairs at that point to have the front desk call a manager at first he refused to do so told my husband that she would not answer he said can you please try and put her on speakerphone please he called someone who is not the manager and they did nothing and then they proceeded to say that the manager is coming in at 11 o’clock she wasn’t not in yet. It was like 11:30pm when she came In. When she came in, she went in the back to discuss with the front desk guy about what to do then they offered us someone else’s reservation, which is a smaller room with a smaller bed than what I originally had then proceeded to turn on the heat in room 903 and once again cold air was coming out so my husband and I how to cuddle for warmth and a bundle up in the blanket because we had no heat in our room. I paid over $300 for this room to have terrible customer service to sleep in the freezing cold which is not fair and they still state, they cannot accommodate me the other people that we took their reservation due to the issues in our original room they got to stay at the Hilton because we overheard the manager offering to stay there to accommodate them, but I was not accommodated properly. This has me overly disgusted. I have never stayed in a hotel in my life and I travel a lot that I got treated like this also when I did Check In the reservations under my name, and the guy was directly talking to my husband instead of me I felt like he had a problem with speaking with women. this customer service was very disgusting especially for the pricing for...

I was only here for one night but it was a great stay for my needs. The room is modest and bare bones, the decor is definitely dated and could use an upgrade. But again, I was there for one night, I didn’t need pretty, I needed comfortable, clean, affordable, and that’s exactly what I got. My sink had a slight drip, but nothing terrible that would have kept me awake. The iron came in so handy as I was underprepared for the rain and I needed to dry my clothes. There’s no microwave or fridge but it didn’t matter, didn’t need it. There’s a little lounge like area off the lobby where there’s seats, coffee and a television, I didn’t use it but it looks like a nice little spot. I was able to check in a little early and when I got to my room I couldn’t get in, I thought maybe I’d accidentally been trying to get in someone else’s room. I went back downstairs and the woman at the desk was out but back quickly, I explained the issue and she offered to come up with me to show me the way. The door wasn’t defective, it wasn’t someone else’s room, I was turning the handle the wrong way. Up, not down. The two people at the desk I encountered were very kind, no complaints. The heat in the room was like a gift after being in the cold and rain, set at 72, made the room perfect. The bed was comfortable, clean and the pillow was like a marshmallow. One electrical socket in the table lamp didn’t work, but the other did. There’s no bedside sockets. Bathroom was clean, bright, well stocked. It’s within a ten minute walking distance of Moynihan Hall, it’s in an excellent location, close to the hustle and bustle of NYC but not in the middle of it. For my one night needs it was perfect and I’d absolutely...

We booked this hotel to see Greta Van Fleet at MSG for the affordable price point and the fact its a reasonable walking distance to MSG. After we booked, I got a bit panicked because of all the awful reviews I read on here. ||Not sure if this place is under a different management from when others have stayed, but I expected this place to be awful and it was quite the opposite.||If you are used to Hiltons and Marriotts, then I can see why someone might be a little put off by its hole in the wall feel, but I never felt unsafe or uncomfortable at this location.||The room was clean, the bed/pillows were comfy. No bugs. The TV lets you stream all kinds of apps you could want to wind down to after a day in the city and not just generic cable or hotel channels. The bathroom was clean, well lit, and had surprisingly good water pressure. The AC works and keeps the room cool. The photos shown on the listing are pretty much exactly what you get. ||As for the staff, everyone we dealt with was kind and accommodating. They provided us extra towels when requested and let us store our bags there after check out for a small fee (we both took public transport and weren't leaving till a few hours after check out).|||Yes, this location is about a 15-20 min walk from Times Square. But we did it and its not awful. It's an even shorter distance to Madison Square Garden, the Megabus station, and Penn station from the hotel. |||Overall, this hotel really surprised me and I think people need to manage their expectations when booking a relatively cheap hotel in a great location in the city. When we come back for our next show we will definitely keep this...

I do all the travel planning for my husband and me and this is the first time I’ve had to apologize to my husband for my bad choice. When you book a new hotel the only thing you can be sure of is the location and the amenities listed by the hotel. After that you have to rely on other people’s reviews. In this case, I was misled by both. When I booked the room, the reviews were okay. They weren’t glowing but the room sounded acceptable. We’re not picky; all we want is clean and comfortable. The reviews all said it was a clean, comfortable place with an issue with unhoused people on the street. We were okay with that but something appears to have changed. This was probably the dirtiest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. We were there for five days and never had any housekeeping services. The carpet was filthy, there was mold growing in the bathroom and it was in a general state of disrepair. The internet was good but there were only two electrical outlets in the whole room. We had to unplug the microwave to plug in the laptop. There was no coffee maker in the room and the coffee in the common area wasn’t available for the first three days (they said they were out of plastic cups.) The main light and the bathroom light and fan were on motion detectors and came on when you walked into the room, even in the middle of the night. They were also on timers, so you had to get up to turn the lights on every half an hour. We had to unplug the reading lights by the bed to plug in my husband’s CPAP. Because we had no housekeeping, we had to go to the front desk to get more toilet paper.

Disastrous! Hotel is undergoing renovations, but besides a working elevator, shower and a bed, everything else is broken. My room had a broken door, having to push with my body to open the door as it got stuck, ligts activated with movement sensor so when foing to the bathroom at 4am all lights lit up. Bed lamp was broken. I had to figure out the magic sppot for it not to go off. No housekeeping unless you requested 14 hrs in advanced, of course I learned about this on mys econd day there after asking why the bed was not made. The third dat, the housekeeping did not happen even after I requested. I got burned in the shower as it seemed there was no cold water or it was also problematic. The toilet was loose from the floor. Bedsheets had holes in them... overall... no restaurant service, or any service at all. Not even a vending machine to get water at night. This needs urgent review and intervention. I felt scammed after paying +200 dollars a night. When complained to management on the 2nd day (right after being burned in the shower) she said thay could not accomodate me in a different place or refund my stay. She would have an Engineer come and fix the room. This, as expected, did not happen. These photos were taken on the second night in the hotel. I would never recommend this hotel or stay again. Positives: Reception sat is friendly (not the supervisor I complaied to, but the ones I checked in with wew quite nice) Bedding and towels were clean. Location is nice!

Awful. Gross. Terrible. The smoke detector was ripped out of the ceiling. The power outlets didn't work - I couldn’t charge my phone. There was no garbage can in the bathroom. The lampshades were filthy, ripped, and didn’t work. There was only one light for the whole room. When I plugged my phone charger into the outlet, sparks flew. There was a hole in the wall. Tape over the light switch. The curtains had been ripped down. And dirty. So, so dirty. I know New York is expensive, but $302.79 for one night is a lot of money for me. They even charged me to store my suitcase for two hours. I can’t believe they have the nerve to charge that much for this disgusting place. I know some slumlord billionaire is getting SO rich from this shoddy hotel and is laughing at the suckers who stay here. They should be ashamed of themselves.
