If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience in New York, Tulum New York Restaurant & Bar is one of the best choices. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere instantly transports you to the bohemian elegance of Tulum, with décor that blends natural elements, warm lighting, and a sophisticated yet relaxed ambiance.
What truly makes this place stand out is not just the excellent food and cocktails but also the impeccable service. In particular, I want to highlight the outstanding attention from Laura and Sofía, who made our visit an unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, both greeted us with a genuine smile and a warm attitude, ensuring we felt welcome and comfortable.
Laura took the time to explain every detail of the menu, recommending dishes based on our preferences. Following her suggestions, we tried the parrillada azteca, which turned out to be a perfect combination of smoky and citrus flavors, and the filet with black mole, a true culinary gem.
Meanwhile, Sofía provided exceptional guidance in selecting cocktails. She recommended the "Mezcalito de la Selva," a perfectly balanced mix of mezcal, passion fruit, and a hint of chili, which became our favorite drink of the night. She also surprised us with the "Tulum Mule," a refreshing cocktail with tequila and ginger, served in handcrafted glassware that elevated the experience even further.
Both were incredibly attentive to every detail, ensuring our evening was perfect. Their professionalism, deep knowledge of the menu, and warm service made our visit much more than just dinner—it was a truly memorable experience.
The restaurant’s ambiance, the immersive music, and the quality of every dish and drink make Tulum New York a must-visit spot for those seeking a mix of fine dining and outstanding service. We will definitely be returning soon, and we hope to be served again by Laura and Sofía, whose kindness and excellent service made our night absolutely perfect.

Read moreOkay girlies, I took myself out on a solo date here to treat myself after a long day, and I was not disappointed. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and started me off with complimentary chips and salsa (sooo good) which will always win me over. I’m a food truck girl so this was more upscale than I was expecting but it made it an even nicer treat. Prices are reasonable considering the food, service, and overall vibe. Now down to the food, they had a whole section for Mexican sushi which looked super interesting and good. Def gonna try soon. I kept it simple because it was my first time and I am a TACO GIRL. How a place does their tacos is very revealing… So I’ll never hold back on a honest review. I got three chicken tacos Pueblo style and I was so pleasantly surprised. I feel like the more fancy the place is, the worse the tacos in my experience, but totally wrong here. They are a little small, but make up for it in terms of FLAVOR! Perfectly marinated meat and loaded with fresh quality toppings. AND the sauces they bring for them? Incredible. Still not over the salsa verde….. some of the best I’ve had recently. Also got a margarita and it was very well made, real lime juice, not too sweet, refreshing. In terms of atmosphere, super cute but my one and only issue was the music volume was too much for me personally and imagine I would have trouble conversing. Other than that I can’t complain. Also I was served by a very kind man who seemed to be training a young woman, and he seemed to be so kind, helpful and encouraging to her which I LOVE to see. As a former server, the way staff is treated and treat one another will make or break whether I return to a place. Overall, talum would be great for a date, friend catch up, or just a solo dinner! I will be coming back! Love to the lovely staff and...
