Went here for a new car battery. Employee looks up my vehicle with vin and account # and gives me a battery that is recommended for my vehicle.
FYIâŚMy car battery is completely dead to the point I have to leave my car running while in store.
I bring the new purchased battery to mechanic for installation. To later find out that it is the wrong battery. However I still install the battery due to my car being stranded on the road now. I then bring the battery back to the closest Autozone (Baychester Ave) with mechanic; to pull the battery out in front of the Autozone in hopes of exchanging it for the correct battery.
This autozone looks me up using the same info the previous autozone used, however, I was told that this location cannot return the battery due to it being purchased at Gunhill location.
At this point, I need a battery in my vehicle to drive to the Gunhill location. Therefore, I am obligated to put in a battery. I then have no choice but to purchase the correct battery to save money on labor for a third time.
At this point, I have now purchased two batteries and paid labor for two installations due to the incompetence of the staff at the Gunhill autozone location.
I come to the Gunhill location; to return the incorrect battery that was sold to me to only be told that there is nothing they can do about it due to it now being considered a used battery.
This is absolutely wrong! And I was robbed by these people! Taking ppl hard earn money because they want to rush you and have the nastiest attitude while youâre just trying to receive help or purchasing a product.
Autozone will never get another dollar from me...

But once I paid, I was suddenly told they wouldnât be installing it, and I was expected to carry it to my car myself. Not only was that misleading, but the battery was heavy and I was clearly struggling.
Iâm a young woman whoâs new to car ownership, and this experience felt careless and inconsiderate. If installation wasnât available, I shouldâve been told that upfront â I wouldâve went to another location!

Before I went to pick up my order I called they gave me a story about the UPS truck broke down and won't be able to deliver. That they will deliver on 6-24-18 at 9am. My item never arrived after I got there at 9am they told me there was a mixed up and will arrive at noon today. Didn't get there at noon they told me at 3pm. Well it didn't arrive at 3pm saying that there was and error in a number and that I will have to wait til Friday May 25 at 9am.
