Sense 7 Tufting and Handcrafts — Attraction in New York

LONG REVIEW:

I want to start off by saying the person who hosted us was super sweet and I think the overall service is a great concept, but definitely not worth $65 from the experience we had. When I arrived the space was pretty dark with minimal natural lighting exposed from the windows. There was no one there to direct me to the space I needed to go to for the service we paid for, in this case phone case making. I stood there for 5 minutes not knowing where the employees were. After my friend arrived we still had to wait a couple more minutes to be greeted and assisted by our host. When our host came to us she directed us to our table and gave clear instructions for how to go about decorating our phone cases and was pretty supportive, but we were taken aback by only having a little over 20 minutes to complete our cases after receiving a tutorial. Considering that laying the foundation was not the easiest it would be great to have more assistance or time to ensure our cases can come out the best that they could otherwise it’s not worth $65 in my personal opinion. It would also be helpful to have tweezers to apply some of the smaller charms and even some kind of gloss finish to apply over everything to make sure the charms can actually stay in place. The to-go boxes are cute too, but not the greatest if you added some of the cream base to border your phone cases. My friends borders got messed up after walking a few minutes. I do appreciate the service and it does make for a fun time with friends, but I just don’t think the experience we had was worth the amount of...

I had the best experience here today! The studio was super cute and clean, they were really helpful and took their time teaching me tufting, and the woman who taught tufting did an AMAZING job. She guided me and allowed me to try most of it on my own. I'm a perfectionist, so she was amazing with helping me out with every single detail on my rug. We had the best time rug tufting on 5/5 at 7 Senses Tufting with our instructors Arianna, Kevin, and did this with my friend Sean. The whole experience was so much fun from start to finish. The space was cozy and creative, and the staff made everything super easy to follow + willing to help. Arianna and Kevin helped me so much that all of our rugs came out amazing.

Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a unique and hands-on activity. Definitely planning to come back...
