We arrived early to this hotel and we got a small depressing room in the back of the hotel, we didn't want it, so we got punished and we had to wait till 4:00 for another room in the front and check in time 3:00 , atmosphere of this room was better but small too , All the rooms are about 15 meter, we didn't have in the room where to put our suitcase so we put it on the table. The room are small but okay the beds comfortable and a shower are good enough. The breakfast is not a small Continental like in Europe , there is a lot of things to eat enough for breakfast. the people that's working in the breakfast room are very nice and helpful , also Elizabeth from the front desk are cheerful and nice to the guests , The other employee making contacts between themselves who will be more depressing to the guest. Also the cleaning team doesn't clean the rooms they're not coming to clean while you are not there, they coming systemically when you are in the room so they don't need to clean it, condition of the hotel is ok but some things need to be renovated especially the carpets what's is dirty a and have a lot boldy area

Clean. Simple, efficient, room. The lobby, elevator, and hallways were clean, smelled fine and no damage beyond normal hotel wear and and tear. The check-in/check-out process was simple and the staff were friendly. The room was clean. No odors, nothing that seemed out of place. Very clean sheets, very clean towels. Bed was comfortable enough with plenty of pillows. TV has access to several streaming sites (using your log-in). No fridge or microwave, but I didn't book expecting them because this was a work visit. There was a small desk and chair. Window opens for fresh air and the AC/heating unit worked and was clean. The bathroom was clean. No mold. Vent/fan was clean and worked. In shower shampoo, conditioner, body wash pumps. Towels had a nice clean scent. Overall, this is perfect for quick trips. My room was typical for NYC: compact but not uncomfortably tiny. I would stay here again without hesitation.

-Hotel room king bed is very tiny (not abnormal for nyc but there are larger ones in the city) i only stayed two nights can't imagine being in a closet longer than that -Fresh cold free water downstairs was so great - Hot breakfast wasn't amazing but still very good for a 3 star hotel and was great as it was snowing outside. Decent options (see photo) - location is the best - room gets cold there aren't many blankets but heat did kick in its just very drafty -tiny lobby - overall was nicer than other fairfield inns in other cities. Just know this is a lower level chain owned by marriott so you're not getting the same as a regular marriott. I paid $118 a night. I wouldn't pay anymore than that. - my one biggest gripe is no upgrade despite the hotel being very empty as an elite Marriott member

This has been the WORST stay of my experience with the Bonvoy program to the point that I specifically called Bonvoy line to express my feelings about this stay and this hotel.

Day 1.

  1. Upon arrival the staff was not friendly, no greeting, no "thank you for being a loyal member", no interest whatsoever in accommodating my explicit request for higher floor (this was my wife's first time in NYC and I wanted her to have a bit of a view). This request was first made in writing at time of booking, the at the front desk, then I even came back and asked for it, but all I got is a shrug and floor 6 out of 17.
  2. The room at floor 6 had an HVAC system that made it extremely hard to sleep - the sound was very loud, my wife likened it to an airplane takeoff.

Day 2

  1. Complimentary Breakfast next day was unavailable due to "no hot water"
  2. The reception staff this time was way friendlier and accommodating, and they found a room for us to move to on floor 17 at midday, and gave me the card. I had about 15 min before I had to leave for a meeting, and my wife was out sightseening, so I quickly threw all of our stuff into the suitcase, went to floor 17 with a new card... well, the door wouldn't open! I went back to reception, asked for new card, went back to floor 17... the door still wouldn't open. One more time down and up... not luck. Finally, housekeeping came with master key, unlocked my new room, I threw our stuff there and ran out to the meeting, of course I was late. But at least that day we had a good view and a room that had a quieter AC, so we could get some sleep. I thought our mis-adventures were over, but..

Day 3

  1. We arrived at Complimentary Breakfast about 30 min before its closing time only to find out that all the hot items are gone and no replenishment was coming. Huh?
  2. When we came back from a full day of walking... the key to our room didn't work AGAIN! And the master key didn't either. So then someone came with a charger for the door lock, and finally let us in. They also promised to send a maintenance guy... he came, and he didn't have the right bit for the screwdriver to open the lock! I looked at him struggle, and basically told him to leave it as it is - we're leaving tomorrow and they can then have all the fun with the locks and keys without us.

Honestly, this is NOT the experience I paid for. This is NOT the experience I expect from a Bonvoy hotel. This is NOT the experience I want to have as a person, let alone a...

Thank you for asking for feedback about my stay this weekend. As a Platinum Marriott member and a crew member at A major US Airline, I get to stay at a lot of Marriott properties. I will detail this stay below for you.

My wife and I arrived Friday afternoon and the room we stayed in, 605, was waiting for us. The staff was friendly and courteous. I asked if there were any room upgrades available and was told there was not. I accepted the keys and went up to the room. Upon entering I immediately ran into the bed as the room was extremely small. The room itself was clean. I looked for a place to put my suitcase and there was none. I placed it on the bed to unpack just to find out that there was not one drawer in the room to unpack my things into. I opened the “closet” to hang my things just to find that it had room for 2 shirts, maybe, without completely crushing them. So after being frustrated I decided the best course was to take one outfit out per day, hang it up and place my suitcase on the floor in the entryway while my wife’s suitcase had to end up on the shelf that the coffee pot was on. This created a very unpleasant stay. We were not able to use the shelf for our personal things, (IPad/phone etc.), and every time we left or entered the room the door would slam into my suitcase and not open completely. We had to squeeze into and out of our own room. The tv in the room had about a 3 inch scratch on the screen creating a dead spot in the picture. There was a compete set of towels in the bathroom with the exception of wash clothes. Only one was provided.

Overall the property was nice and I understand the restrictions on space in Manhattan, but this room was completely unacceptable. It reminded me of a maids closet that was retrofitted into a place to sleep. Maybe if there was only a double bed in there and a dresser it would have been better. At the very least you need to provide a place for people to put their suitcases, a foldable rack or something.

Would I recommend this property for someone in the future? Maybe. Only if they do not get the small rooms we were provided.

Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing...

Don't stay here. I disregarded the recent reviews and decided that the (relatively) low rate and midtown location was worth the sketchy reviews. Wow, was I wrong. We arrived at the hotel around noon and was told our room wasn't ready. Not a problem, we dropped our bags and went about our day. We came back about 5:00 and went up to our room. We should have immediately gone back downstairs and refused the room, but we were only staying one night, so how bad could it be, right? Wrong. The door frame (outside the room) was busted up, the inside deadbolt didn't close properly and the bathroom door didn't close either. ||||We went back out for dinner, and talked to the NA when we came back and while she was very nice, she didn't seem too concerned about moving us or providing compensation. She told us that the hotel knew some of the doors and frames were messed up but they didn't know which one. I find this really hard to believe. This is not a big hotel. I'm attaching pictures of the busted door frame, bathroom door, and carpeting. Look back on this page to December and you'll see a review posted with the exact same picture I took. THE HOTEL KNEW. ||||At that point, we were exhausted because we'd been up since 5:00 am and decided to deal with the problems tomorrow. I took my shoes off and went into the bathroom, only to realize the carpet outside the bathroom door was wet. ||||We talked to the FDA in the morning (the same one from the previous morning) and she was MORTIFIED by the pictures I showed her. I'm kind of shiny with Marriott and had requested a room with a view via chat a couple days before checking in. The FDA said the room had been blocked out for us, but was apparently given to another guest between noon and 5:00 pm. ||||I was given 5,000 pts by the NA but that is not anywhere near sufficient for this experience. I have also been in contact with the GM but she has not answered my email in 48 hours. I am escalating this until I fair compensation and acknowledgement of...
